Title: birthday party venue
Post by: zhuzhits on February 25, 2012, 03:50:24 PM
My daughters 1st birthday is in May, any suggestions for location? 50-70 guests. Outdoor or indoor. Wife is getting on my case, can't really justify another gun purchase before squaring this away! Help!

I know this sounds weird but I just noticed a great place to have a gathering. Large grass area, bathrooms, grass area rarely used. Kokohead Complex. While the kids are playing their games the adults can get an hour or two of practice in at the same time. Sounds like a win-win place to me!

Inspector, you may just start a new trend! I ran it by my wife, there was an Akward silence followed by a very intentional stink eye.
Sorry my brudda, I live in pearl city. was thinking anywhere from alamoana to ewa.

Sorry that didn't work out for you!  :(

If you can drive to Kapolei we have a huge park here. I mean it is HUGE! Kapolei Regional Park. 525 Farrington, across from library and police station. Bathrooms and so much room you won't be near anyone. You can order a bounce house. A lot of them here every weekend. Shopping center and fast food within walking distance. Just bring your tent. Let me know if you need more info. Check it out on Google Maps.

Bishop Museum we had my grandmother's celebration of life lunch there (about 150 people) at Atherton Halau and then my brother is having his wedding reception there (320 people) on the Great Lawn.

+1 to DAV Hall I've been to a lot of functions there.

Honpa Hongwanji has a big hall that holds a few hundred people. Been there for first birthdays, grad parties, family reunions, etc.
Parking lot in front and back with entrances on Pali Hwy and Lusitana. Not sure how to reserve tho, I've never had to plan anything.
