Title: French MAS 36

Who has one and what are your thoughts on the rifle? Pros and Cons? Would you buy again if you had the chance? Any idea what they are currently valued at?

I have one. It is a good cast bullet shooter. It is kinda odd looking and it has crude sights. The socket bayonet is kinda neat. You can easily form brass from 6.5 Swedish. I have no idea what they are currently selling for.

I forgot to mention that it has a .308 bore.

astro thanks for sharing just what I was looking for. I was out of state and saw one at a shop on consignment for $500. I felt that was reasonably priced considering its condition, it was a post war produced rifle that looked to be refurbished. I didn't like it enough though to buy a hard case and lug it back, there are still other rifles I really want. I also didn't need to add another caliber to my current caliber chaos, I could feed it with my Swedish Mauser though.

if anyone has one they're willing to let go, i might be interested in buying one, depending on what i find at the gun show, cause if i find a nice Enfield im buying that first before a MAS

Did you sell your K11 carbine and Type 53 M-N carbine yet or have you decided to keep them?

sold the type 53. i still got the K11.
