Title: HRA founded in 1857
Post by: zippz on October 01, 2017, 07:08:57 PM

Talking to Harvey at the gun show, he mentioned that the HRA was older than the NRA.  Founded in 1857.  He didn't know who founded it or for what reason.  Anyone know the history on who founded it and why?

Probably a couple of you were around at that time.   :D

That's an interesting coincidence, both are founded in 1957.  I'll have to follow that lead, time to go to the library for the first time in 15 years.

If they are related, then that means the Hawaii National Guard and Hawaii Rifle Association are siblings.
