Title: HR 3947
Post by: changemyoil66 on October 08, 2017, 04:21:13 PM
HR 3947

Seems super vague

"accessory that is designed or functions to accelerate the rate of fire of a semiautomatic rifle but not convert the semiautomatic rifle into a machinegun."

So trigger with different pull weights?

of course its vague the ultimate end goal is to ban and confiscate
tolerance is the first step
We tolerate some restrictions on our 2A - pretty soon that tolerance was just a small nibble of the cake we were guaranteed to have under the Constitution. Net thing you know that cake nibble turns into a slice, then half then pau no more.

Ambiguous rate of fire -- what's the rate that qualifies as machine gun?

Ambiguous use of "accessory".

Bump-fire stocks are non-standard, after market replacement parts.  "Accessory" implies something added to the original rifle, such as a light, optic, etc.

a thing that can be added to something else in order to make it more useful, versatile, or attractive.
"a range of bathroom accessories"

synonyms:   attachment, extra, addition, add-on, adjunct, appendage, appurtenance, fitment, supplement

"camera accessories such as tripods"

A binary trigger would be a replacement part, not an accessory.

This is the slippery slope when one cracks the door. That's why they shouldn't cave into this ridiculous bump stock banning BS. These people just saying oh it's just a bump stock don't understand the big picture and what the 2A is all about. Liberals want to remove the 2A and they have been chipping away little by little, and every time there is any kind of shooting that the MSM spins up, our republicans give them something else. It's all a crock and when will our republican leadership grow a set of balls. We control everything and these boneheads are negotiating...screw them, they should stand their ground and don't give up anything!

Same/similar to discussion I heard about no guns for no fly list. People saying “if they aren’t safe to fly, you’d trust them with a gun”?  Well, no. The point is the “nature” of the list. These law makers aren’t stupid. They spread that kind of stuff so people think they have common sense would go for it. Especially now.

Well Hawaii has been successful in creating a national gun owners registry and has gotten away with it.

From my understanding some states were already using Rapback as early as 2007.  Hawaii of course had to be the first retards to use it for this purpose.
