WyzeCam 1080p HD Wireless Smart Home Camera with Night Vision, 2-Way Audio, Free Cloud, for iOS and Android

Got this to play around with and my wife loves it.  We have a security system, this camera is an in-home model, but for $25.98, I could not pass it up.  Amazon was out of stock and the WyzeCam website does not ship to HI, so bought one for my brother in-law on the mainland and had him ship my to me.  it is not weatherproof and requires a power source (outlet or powerbank).  I have it under my eave and point to our front door and yard.  She loves that she is able to view it on her iPhone/iPad and gets notification if their is motion detected (eg. neighbor snooping , nah we all have good neighbors).  Other alerts can be set.

I would caution using inside of your house, since the alert images are sent to a server (cloud storage) over your WIFI and saved free for 14 days.  I have a 32GB micro SD card install, that will hold 3 days of video.

Now I hope this will equate to another gun purchase.

I saw this a few weeks ago. Looks interesting.
Last night I was talking to my neighbor and he has a surveillance system.
He said something about not pointing the camera at your neighbors due to privacy issues.
Is this true?

I ran the idea by all my neighbors first. One of them had some stuff stolen and tires slashed and I used that to help sell the idea.

Good relationships with the neighbors is an essential part of a home security system.

To be a crime the intent must be to invade their privacy. A camera that inadvertently sees a public space or private property is legal. If not any stores or banks with external cameras not to mention Government own.
