Perhaps that the incident occurred in Hawaii plays a role. It seems odd to have to note that, but it’s certainly defensible. From his attorney general at one point dismissing the state as “an island in the Pacific” to Trump’s general focus on states he won to, we have to note, the gulf between his responses to the hurricanes that struck Texas and Florida and the one that nearly wiped Puerto Rico clean — there is plenty of evidence that can be cited for Trump’s not necessarily having the state of Hawaii at the forefront of his thoughts. Normally, one wouldn’t even assume that a president might be indifferent to one of the 50 states; here, it’s impossible not to wonder if it’s the case.

Did I miss the news? When did Hawaii get hit by a disaster since Trump was inaugurated?
The missile alert was a man-made problem created by the state's EMA personnel.
Blaming Trump would be like saying it's his fault your carrier didn't transmit the alert to your phone. He can't do everybody's job for them.
Sheesh!

a journalistic way of blaming Trump. more elegant than Jamie Lee Curtis and Tulsi Gabbard.
Besides our state has been nothing but hostile and uncooperative with the Trump administration.
Nothing but hate.

It's funny how the left is blaming him and blaming him for doing nothing for 30 mins. They don't realize that all presidents get their intel direct from the military, not state level warning systems (civil defense). And since the military didn't detect anything, no harm no foul, nothing needs to be done while he is golfing.

It's the President's job to act like a leader, not a spoiled prick with a grudge.

OK, What would you say he should have done exactly? Issue an apology for demanding NK uphold it's treaties, and kiss a$$? That hasn't been working, what makes you think it will start working now?

Oh well, Obunga said he "Does not care about the suburbs". The ghettos and liberal urban area were his base.
That was fine with the urban MSM elites, as they know the suburbs pay no attention to their Fake News, either.
Fly over country is very far beyond that. Drives them insane to be ignored.

How about something as simple as giving a shout out to the people of Hawaii and letting us know he's got our back?
And there are a whole range of options between nuclear annihilation and anal smoochies.

Of those options you believe exist, which one will Kim accept in order to stop testing missiles and threatening the US? We've tried appeasement for a long time.
Apparently, when you give a mouse a cookie, he's going to want a glass of milk.
