Title: Rubber Dummy
Post by: RSN172 on January 17, 2018, 08:43:54 PM
I just ordered one.  It weighs 30 lbs by itself, but right now Arms Unltd has it on sale for $129 and free shipping even to Hawaii.
This will be great for more realistic firearm and knife training  since you can even stab it.

I have a 25 yd handgun range in my backyard, but most of my defensive shooting practice would be from 3 to 7 yards.   I live in a remote area of Puna.

Spelling corrections.

I’ve seen people use the Century Bob for knife drills. That and those boxing chest protectors. Pretty pricey for me, but seemed like good practice.

Post some videos of your training!

I have a BOB, the big one that goes down to the thighs, but no way would I use a knife on it.  Too expensive and not designed for that.  The BOB is great for unarmed striking practice.

Did you purchase the stand mount bracket and did they also ship free?

I did not order the stand and I just got an email from AU that ny order is canceled because it is to heavy to ship to Hawaii.  They accepted the order yesterday with my HI address.  I will still get one, but now I will have to wait till I go to Vegas again and bring it back as baggage.  I get 2 bags free check-in as a Hawaiian Pualani Gold member.

Or put on your lap like a child.  But make sure you put a hat on him and shirt.

My buddy has the upper body Bob at his house. We haven’t hit him in a while, but yeah, good workout and stress relief.

Pretty much what I thought as this happens often with heavy stuff.  I would order a few myself if they shipped free.  Looks like I'm not making SHOT show this year and won't be in Vegas for a bit, but knowing that the store is in Vegas and bringing them back is a good idea.  Yep, 2 bags, plus the 3rd free with the Mileage plus CC could work.  I think they are a bit too big for a carry-on.  Stick a tag on them and throw them on as baggage would be amusing, especially if you put a failure drill in it first.

Maybe I will check pricing on a freight forwarder and we can go in on it.  I have been interested in getting a few of these.
