So the Senate came to its senses and finally voted that the millions-of-Americans is more important than the thousands of DACA dreamers. so they finally voted to 81-18 to end #1 anti-gunner Schumer's (NY) fillibuster which kept the govt shut down.
but, how come nobody mentions that Sen Hirono is one of the 18 that voted to keep the govt shut down? her group of hold-outs lost, 81-18. it's on C-Span, you can look up how senators voted, but nowhere mentioned in any Hawaii news article? WTF!
as we already all know, yes, she's in the pocket of the NY anti-gun not-so-secret social club. but you'd figure, with all the fed govt workers and military here in Hawaii, she'd be looking out for their interests, rather than illegal immigrant children in California?
Hawaii news also didn't cover Sen Shatz's failed anti-gun study where they went "undercover" and tried to illegally buy guns, hopefully to prove how guns are so easily purchased on the internet by criminals. Fail! I wonder how much that study cost us tax-payers (rhetorical question).
yup, preaching to the choir. just had to vent.

Amen Brother. Amen.

Yeah, I wrote Schatz the day the BATFE failed "internet loophole" sting came out (72 attempts to purchase, 72 FAILS) and asked him 1. How much did it cost to prove there is no "internet loophole"?, and 2. When was he going to announce publicly how much taxpayer money he wasted and that he was completely 100% wrong about the "internet loophole"?
You'll never guess, but I haven't heard a word back from him, and it's been over a week! I guess their email is broken. :geekdanc:
As for Hirono, she's been rated at one of the top 5 or even 3 "most progressive" members of the senate. She'd vote for fucking Stalin if he was up for SCOTUS or whatever.

Hopefully not much longer if you get my drift......

darn, I was hoping this government shutdown would be permanent

and for today's Senate vote, 1am east coast time, 9 Feb 2018, once again, Hirono votes AGAINST funding the govt, Schatz found his brain and voted FOR. Luckily the AGAINST votes were in the minority 71-28. I'd bet that the local media doesn't mention this factoid.
to Hirono, illegals (Dreamers) are more important than Americans.

I noticed that this time, the fakenews didn't mention it as much as they did the 1st time. Probably cause they got roasted and how dems support illegals instead of working US citizens.

and in the House side, Gabbard voted NO, which is surprising given her support of the military, being in the Guard, etc. so full-a-shet
and Hanabusa voted YES, let's get this debacle over with, it's gone far enough, and get on with business.
I wouldn't trust Hawaii politicians as far as I can spit (which ain't that far). no local media coverage of this AFAIK.
