PSA this coming Friday March 2nd is the last day that you can apply for a long gun Permit to Acquire and get it back before the gun show if you need to.
-
Post what you're going to be looking for at the show. People reading this thread that have tables at the show might be able to accommodate needs. Table holders are probably bringing 5% of what they have at home, so if they know people are looking for particular items, they might bring it to sell.
-
Looking for ammo by the case. 9 and .556/.223
If anyone has a fancy for a thumbhole stock AK, hit me up. ;D

I'm looking for old, broken, missing parts, rusty, you-think-nobody-will-want-to-spend-the-time-to-get-a-permit, and that you'll sell CHEAP handguns :) Smaller, the better!
Original Colt mags - 1903 hammerless, 1908 vest, 1911(prewar), Woodsman Match (late)
Also looking for deals on quality AK pattern rifles, Colt 1911s, and 25/32acp pocket guns.
:shaka:

Looking for stock AR parts, butt stocks, charging handles, BCG’s, etc. and a cheapo armorers wrench.
And some tactical cookies for my wife.

Look for Dexter Lum's table for AR parts.
I did pick up a couple of those $3 spinner rings. I tend to loose them in the ocean.

Need 1 or 2 volunteers to help with voter registration before the show starts. Going to have the crowd of people outside the entrance fill out the forms while they wait for the show to open. I got the forms, pens, and clipboards. Could use a couple more clipboards if you got.
Neal Blaisdell Center
Meet Saturday 9:15am at the entrance
Send me a message.

Much appreciated. We're going to have them signup while they wait and I'm going to turn in the applications for them. Also hand out HRA and NRA applications too.

Saw a Swiss K31 at a table in the same row as the dried fruit seller across from them. Saw a few Mosins around the show.

I donated $50 towards the air rifle/NRA program.
This is a challenge to everyone here to meet that.
It's up to us to help the next generation learn and grow.
See the air rifle display next to the HRA table.
....
Oh yeah, I bought a lot of local style snacks today because I really need more snacks. :shake:

In other news, Zip and myself accosted people standing in line to register to vote and/or sign up for the HRA or NRA.
It was fun.

I met a guy that I shot with many years ago.
I had a hard time recognizing him because he was in a wheelchair and had lost both of his legs.
If you were at the show yesterday you will remember him because he had a Genuine service dog from "Hawaii Fi-Do"
His service dog looked like a giant brown poodle. (his name was UMI)
Anyway, he mentioned something about legislation to prohibit fake service dogs. Those irritate me PLENTY

thanks for the air rifle donation mr changeoil
I was looking at the pictures on their display board and I told them, "you know, I was one of those kids 45 years ago".
And also my son was one of those kids just 5 years ago. They didn't have to twist my arm to throw money in the pot.

I think a story about the gun show will run tonight on HNN if there is time available.
If they do run it, it should be favorable because I gave them home-made cookies that one of the guys baked.
-
The air rifle goal is almost met. They need another 350.

Was it a Labradoodle?
I despise those fake service animals, sometimes accompanied by fake people with Handicap placards. I guess I was raised differently - try and be self-reliant as much as possible and be grateful for any help given your way.

Went this morning and walked around with my dad for about an hour. Stopped by to chat with the HRA folks and talked Story little while with Mac. Was good to see it pretty busy with lots of people shopping and buying. Chatted with the SEC and HGS guys.
Saw lots of interesting things, especially custom knives.

I was surprised how busy it was. Usually it's dead by Sunday noon. Perhaps it's from all of the legislation concerns.
I bought two bricks of 22lr and a bag of corn husks. Also can't wait to try out Bushido's ammo. He promised me that I'll hit sub-moa if I point the rifle in the general direction of the target. (just kidding Devin)
No, Kelly Clarkson!!!

Based on his education and experience, I'd vote for him - but to win you have to be a Smurf in this State. Any other color and you are Gargamel no matter what they say about bipartinship.

I crossed out another target today.

Didn't really check out prices on guns. I saw more than a few deals on ammo that I would have bought if I was low, but I stocked up a couple of months ago, so I didn't buy any ammo.
Lots and lots of knives. Surprised my dad didn't buy any this show. He did have me stop to take a closer look at a few tables, but he didn't inspect any closer. Some very, very nice custom ones that I was tempted on. Also saw some kitchen knives for what I thought was good prices. Would be nice to have, but not something I "needed".

We explained rapback to a couple people who walked up to us at the HDF. I was explaining about why I believe gun registration is unconstitutional. The question came up about how many States require gun registration so had to look it up. The website I got this from is anit-2a but seems like a comprehensive list. I'm surprised there aren't more States who prohibit registries like Alabama or Tennessee.
STATES THAT REQUIRE REGISTRATION OF ALL FIREARMS
District of Columbia11
Hawaii12
STATES THAT REQUIRE REGISTRATION OF HANDGUNS
New York13
STATES THAT REQUIRE NEW RESIDENTS TO REPORT THEIR FIREARMS
California14
Maryland15 (handguns and assault weapons)
STATES THAT REQUIRE REGISTRATION OF PRE-BAN ASSAULT WEAPONS OR 50 CALIBER RIFLES
California16 (assault weapons and 50 caliber rifles)
Connecticut17 (assault weapons and large capacity magazines)
Hawaii18 (assault pistols)
Maryland19 (assault pistols)
New Jersey20 (assault weapons)
New York21 (assault weapons)
STATES THAT PROHIBIT REGISTRIES OF FIREARMS
Delaware22
Florida23
Georgia24
