testimony DUE MONDAY 9:30 am!
notice that they not only made the announcement as late as they could, they are also limiting in-person testimony:
Decision making meeting only, no oral testimony will be accepted.
Persons wishing to submit written testimony may do so up to 24 hours prior to the hearing.

If you signed the paper testimony at koko head last weekend, you don't have to do new testimony online.
If you do want to submit testimony online, like to add comments, msg me so I can discard the paper one.

Done! for what it may be worth. What was the count at the last hearing? some 5 or 6 for and over a hundred against. Passed unanimously?
I guess we gotta keep trying, but is is discouraging sometimes.
If you are not an AR guy, even California laws are better in many ways than ours.

I strongly Oppose SB2046
This is a poorly thought out and worded law that does NOTHING to protect the people and has no effect on the possession of bumpstocks or other devices.
The legislators that write these laws and vote on them have little to no understanding on the design or function of firearms.
Bump firing can and is done by the function of how a semi automatic firearm operates, It can be done with rifle and pistols and requires no device or aid to function.
So this law does one of three things.
1 : It does NOTHING
2 : it bans any item that can be used to aid bump firing (string, belts, rubber bands etc....)
3 : it bans semi automatic firearms.
The maximum fire rate of a semi autocratic is limited only by the rate at which the firearm can mechanically cycle. Typically with AR15's that rate is 600 rounds per minute (some faster) . So no device bump stock or otherwise would accelerate the rate of fire beyond what the firearm is capable of ,making this law yet again mute.

submitted. I emphasized #2 and the fact that it's the former AG's opinion that the devices are already banned under the automatic weapon ban.

Someone posted on SSH Hawaii. I thought the mods would take it down right away, but they left it up because it affects defense and law abiding citizens. Many commenting didn't know about the bill and thought it was BS.

Be careful where you post messages up on social media. It lets the antigun side know what's coming up and they'll rally.
