It was one of the only ways to counteract the sometimes highly slanted narratives, but now it's going away. I've had comments deleted that were polite and relevant just because the comment editor didn't agree with my opinions, which was really interesting to see and very revealing about the flexibility of their ethics.
What's left to us now, though? Well you could always log on to FaCIAbook but I've spend enough time in that wasteland. They do have something about community voices and letters to the editor. Might be worth looking into. The way I figure is if they give us a space to state our case then we should take advantage of it. Not all liberals are rabid gun-banning types and the more people demonize the NRA and play fast and loose the facts the more they turn off the moderates.
