Title: Interested in getting started in competition shooting

Hi was wondering where to sign up. Also would it be possible to come and watch an event to see if it’s actually somthing i would like to do. Also what is needed to get started. Thanks

There are many different types of competitions.  Action pistol, bullseye pistol, cowboy action, high power rifle, 22lr, skeet trap, air rifle, and many other things.

The clubs will normally let you watch.  Just ask the organizer and have eye and ear pro on.  Checkout my events calendar in the events section of this forum.

I know for IPSC and some others have a "101" intro day.  Hit up Gene at HGS for more info.

But all depends what kind of shooting you're interested in.

Joining MPPL:

If you already decided to join and continue beyond the intro class, fill out the membership application.  If you are already a member of the NRA, include those member ID numbers for a discount on MPPL membership.The $25 discount almost pays for a 1 year NRA membership, so why not join?

Based on last year's schedule, the next may not be until July.
