This was on the radar from way back in 1989...

quote
-----------
Patrick Purdy (Stockton schoolyard shooting,1989) – opened fire at Cleveland Elementary School in Stockton, California, killing five young children and wounding 30 more before turning the weapon on himself January 17, 1989. Purdy, 24, had an “extensive criminal history” including narcotics and weapon violations and soliciting for sex. Purdy was under psychiatric treatment and prescribed the anti-psychotic drug Thorazine and the antidepressant Amitriptyline when he committed the attack.

I met a gal who had a room mate on antidepressant drugs.
He offed himself.

Yeah, it's "weird" that when you read the "possible side effects" of those "anti-depressants" you frequently see "suicidal ideation and acts". Makes ya wonder what they'd do if they were just depressed... without medication.
