Title: IDPA on Oahu

I went to the IDPA site to see if they list any clubs on Oahu. I did not find any. Is this correct? Are there no IDPA clubs here? Is anyone else intersted in IDPA? I would love to hear back from others who have gone down this road in the past & what they think. I apologize if this is already a topic covered in previous posts.

a quick search of IDPA showed that their setups are pretty elaborate.  Maybe that's why there's no clubs here, too hard to set up that kind of courses.

or maybe its because you draw from concealment? Just food for thought...

It was mostly the set up and clean up. It was the same core of 4 people that did all the work.
Drawing from concealment was an issue due to the CCW may not issue, but the accomodation was to just take off your jacket or vest.

There was more to it than just setup and cleanup.  I know myself and my buddy sure as hell helped to setup and cleanup along with two others, one guy shooting a CZ.  The people running it were active LE and they didnt have the time and also heard something about insurance as well.  Too bad.  I did try contacting Lyle to see if he needed help but didn't get any response so I let it rest.
