Come down and help with 2a activism while getting a beer after work.  We'll go over current events and 2a projects, brainstorm ideas, and start planning for the future.  Come meet other people in the 2a community and learn how you can help out.

Get there early and explore the "Home of the Brave"  WWII museum next door, opens at 5pm.

I'm looking for a couple of guests to help.  Need suggestions on:

1.  Top pro-gun representative/senator in Hawaii that can talk on how to get pro-gun legislation passed.
2.  Lobbyist or organizer that can talk about how to get people involved.

Sorry but I have to take my son to his game Wednesday evening.

1. Sam Slom, Bob McDermott, Sam Kong?
2. What about someone from these lists?

I was thinking about those reps, wondering if anyone is enthusiastic about guns.  McDermott and Kong are good allies but aren't into guns.  I forgot about Slom, he always goes to the NRA events.  Now that he's out maybe he won't mind going over the internal fighting at the capitol.  I don't know much about Gabbard.

Need help on any recommendations or referrals for the organizations.  ACLU is effective and I want to form a relationship with them, but they don't care for guns.  Grassroots Institute would probably help us, but I think they do more fundraising and awareness type of marketing.

While I was scanning the list, Everytown for Gun Safety was on the list last and this year.  They have an employee from the mainland, and they hire people from Hawaii Public Policy Advocates LLC to lobby for them.  They spent $20,000 on lobbying last year and $5,000 so far this year.  I'm pretty sure they read the forums here.  Good topic for discussion at the meeting.

Agenda notes.  Meeting will be for a quick overview, finding resources, and getting general ideas of what we want to do. We'll go over more specific ideas in the May meeting after me and London808 come back from the NRA Conference, I'll try and get Sam Slom to come out next month.

Got about 8 people attending so far, got space for more.  I'll be there early at 5:15pm.
