So owning a Colt Cobra was viewed, or tried to be used to prove the person had malice intent?

How about aftermarket parts? Would that equate to the firearm owner to be bloodthirsty and have the propensity for violence? Scopes, night sights, weapon lights, trigger kits could cause some issue. Maybe even posting on firearms forums could be misconstrued. What a slippery slope.

The other side will use anything they can to make you look "blood thirsty".  So it's how you articulate why you have certain accessories.  This is why you must keep your mouth shut until you speak to an attorney, which is a right you are given.

Everything you say besides your name makes your attorny's job that much harder.
