My application for firearms permit was denied due to a medical hit from my Kaiser records. I had an instance of mental health treatment in 2007.
Hoping to reevaluate my mental health, I went to Kaiser to schedule an appointment with a doctor, but they said they don't do medical clearance letters for firearm permits.
I called Queen's, who referred me to Kalihi-Palama Health Center, but they couldn't do it either because they don't have access to my medical history.
Are there any physicians on the island [Oahu] that do medical clearance letters on the spot, or does the medical hit from 2007 mean I'm denied forever?

you're not denied forever, just need to find a doctor that will write the letter. good luck. :shaka:

If you are a HRA member, you can contact them for a list of doctors and assistance.
Then contact your Hawaii state representative and tell them about your situation. Ask them to create a bill next year to help prevent future problems.
