Title: Black Privilege is Real
Post by: Flapp_Jackson on July 04, 2018, 08:47:02 PM
'War on Standards': Stats appear to show that medical schools are not considering all medical students
equally and are putting diversity before quality. Vijay Chokal-Ingam, who's of Indian heritage, says he
presented himself as African-American, and it helped him get into medical school.

Yup.  It's equal opportunity, not equal results.

Still need to put in the work to succeed.  Believe many have forgotten that, never knew it in the first place, or never cared.  There are TONS of minority groups that are thriving.  Don't see them whining and whinging about equal opportunity not being equal.  Some minority groups seem to be fixated on the past and that is never a good recipe for making progress.

Reminds me of American History X.  Black guys get hired just because they're black, not because they're the best for the job.  White guy gets pasted over who is better just because he's white.

Let's not forget about "reverse racism" also. =P
