Didn't want to speculate. Should as Treudeou how he got a gun.
I wonder if he was a local or immigrant.

No. He was mentally ill. You only referenced that he was Muslim because you are a racist, Islamaphobe, xenomorphic, germaphobe, Nazi, Imperialist, gun-loving, keep-your-insurance, God-fearing, .....umm did I forget something?

Well normally if someone makes a claim and provides a link you would expect there to be some mention of it in the link.

When my girls were old enough to do things on their own without help, I stopped having to spoon-feed them.
Any idea when you might get to that point?

Islam is just as stupid and dangerous as any other religion

If your last name is McCormick or O'Donnell can I safely assume you are a raging alcoholic? If your last name is Takahashi or Watanabe can I safely assume you have the personality of a suicidal android? If your last name is Pacheco or DeSilva can I safely assume that you rode the short bus to school and shouldn't be trusted around sharp or delicate objects?
Where's the evidence that he's Muslim or that his religion had anything to do with the shooting? His family members immediately went on record to let everyone know they were horrified by his actions. Sounds like he suffered from severe mental illness and had absolutely zero support for his crimes.
One would hope that more people are becoming aware that the whole point of anti-Muslim propaganda is to get people with no education who never traveled more than 50 miles from home to fly halfway across the world and kill people who are no threat to them so that weapons manufacturers and energy companies can profit.
In other words it's your tax dollars hard at work fighting imaginary threats and making rich people richer while the infrastructure we all depend on continues to crumble

New intel from the PD.
He was on their watch list for "supporting" ISIL online.
1 media outlet mentioned his now deleted FB page had him wearing tactical gear and the caption was "reincarnated ISIS fighter"
Canada was looking into his past when he lived in Afghanistan and Palestine
The media released his age within 1 hour of the shooting, but not his name. They knew his name because they had to figure out his age. When they did release his name (next day), his parents at the same time had a statement that seemed very prepared compared to other mass shooters family statements within 1 day of the attacks.
Know that Canada is pro open boarders so this would harm them.
Canada has strict gun laws so they don't want to blame that
Canada has universal health care
So of all, saying he was "mentally ill" is the best out for them.
This event will get burried
I did jump to conclusions, but so far many attacks done by middle eastern names have been in the name of Islam. Are all Muslims terrorist, no. There are many good people of Islam, but it's the few that give them a bad rep.

TORONTO -- Canadian investigators were digging Tuesday into the life of the 29-year-old man who opened fire on
restaurants and cafes in a popular Toronto neighborhood, seeking to explain what prompted the rampage that killed
a 10-year-old girl and a young woman and wounded 13 others. Investigators in Canada have indications that Faisal
Hussain visited Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) websites and may have expressed support for the terrorist group,
a law enforcement source told CBS News senior investigative producer Pat Milton.

The neighbors are saying they never saw any signs he had mental illness. Only the family's word for that so far. If they cannot offer documentation of a "long history of mental health" (which implies he'd been treated), then it may be just the family playing the victim card to excuse his evil, violent murders.
Too soon to know how much truth & cover-up will hit the news.

Not my job to prove other people's arguments. I hope someone taught your girls to be able to support an argument instead of just claiming something.

Do you have anything to support that claim?

Thanks for addressing this. I know people will naturally put two things together when they see an Arabic name and that he killed people but I think it important to not assume an association that might not be true. Of course it is a valid question to ask whether he was a Muslim and if this is ISIS related but we run risks when we assume religious terrorism.
I understand why authorities don't always declare terrorism immediately, they have to weigh a public safety concern against people committing mob justice or hate crimes. Authorities want to get more information for an accurate picture before releasing a conclusion.

I figured this was pretty much a debate 101 type of thing but sure, we'll start from the basics for you.

At first it started as a joke (hence the title), but then the thread got all serious.
I apologize for the confusion. I'll put the word "joking" next time.

Isis claimed responability. Kind of fishy they waited so long.

Unconfirmed (toronto paper), police received credible intel that a vehicle was going to be used to ram people. So they set up larger vehicles to prevent this. Left the public in the dark.
Instead, active shooter.
