Title: Suarez International training opportunity
Post by: 2aHawaii on February 09, 2010, 03:48:45 PM
I don't know much about this but it looks like Gabe Suarez of Suarez International will be coming here in July to teach a training course. There is also a prerequisite that students must have attended a Suarez International Intermediate rifle class. So this is definitely not for beginners.

This is the information straight off their site.

July 10-11, 2010
High Risk Operator - Team Tactics
Oahu, Hawaii

This class is the first class in our HRO package and deals with learning how to operate in two shooter teams and covers, Modified Team Tactics, Moving as a Team, Immediate Action Drills, Counter Ambush Drills, and other things.  You will learn the material via small lectures, dry and live fire work, and extended fire drills. I will tell you for sure that this will be physicially challenging class and will involve carrying your gear and weapon all day long, as well as requires short sprints, dropping into position and getting back on your feet quickly. Be sure you have a reliable rifle, and understand how to use it bilaterally (both right and left sides).  Be sure you can execute a reload on the move and retain the magazine with you.

In short -
DURATION:2 days
PREREQUISITES:Students must have attended a Suarez International Intermediate rifle class
AMMUNITION:Approximately 300 rounds for your rifle (minimum)

Each person brings their own first aid kit... sounds intense.
