Some stats and facts to keep in mind when it comes time to submit testimony on any bills bearing on self-defense, you know like those old white guys wrote about in the Bill of Rights.
Armed Citizens Are Successful 94% Of The Time At Active Shooter Events [FBI]
After seeing John Lott from the Crime Prevention Research Center publish a rebuttal to a recent FBI report on Active Shooter events I decided to dive deeper into the data and do some analysis of my own. WARNING, this is a long article/report with a lot of images but I am confident it is worth your time!

And here's Dana Loesch interviewing John Lott about it:

A couple of examples of the charts/graphs. Of course no matter how much higher-quality evidence we submit in testimony, the results here in the Hawaii legislature are pretty much foregone conclusions. They hate us and the very idea of bearing arms for self-defense. Who needs a gun when you have a puck?

This is a lie and fabricated. I do not believe that an armed citizen can make a difference. I was taught to call the police and wait for them to respond and help the situation.
