I know you can't say anything bad about Democrats on this site, so I'll just say I hope she runs
and gets obliterated by Maxine waters, her emotional mentor.
-
She wont win but has nothing to lose by running. She gets national attention, experience running, gains allies, and wont lose her house seat.
This would be a practice run for her and she'll try again in the future.
-
My guess, She'll end up running as VP to Kamala Harris. All Female ticket.

She might not have anything to lose, but the rest of the Dem candidates do. The more money she raises from national donors, PACs and committees, the less there is for the others. Hillary ran effectively unopposed (Bernie was a sacrificial lamb) in part because all other Dems knew she would be syphoning off all the big donors' contributions.
That's one plus for the GOP. Her primary donors may not be willing to contribute to someone else who wins the nomination.

I'll take her over crazy Mazie!

That's true. But the effect would be minimal since there's like 20 potential candidates now.
I heard Beto Orourke and Biden are the two most likely Dem candidates, and would most likely beat Trump.

I saw a CNN report on Tucker Carlson's show where they were predicting the Democrats are less likely to vote for a White male than a minority woman (redundant?).
That means the DNC will have some in-fighting if Biden or Beto are out-pacing the more "diverse" members of the Democrat field.
Racists, sexists, ....

At this point, me thinks the dummocrats could nominate a gorilla and trump would lose.

Trump's pushing for the wall because it's one of his biggest campaign promises. If he gets the funding, he'll have a long list of major promises he kept. That's how he'll be reelected -- a President who doesn't make empty promises to get votes.

Don’t get me wrong... I like Trump but he’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. Snowflakes, dummocrats, liberals, fools, illegals, dead voters, etc etc will see to it.... there are a lot of “us” but I wonder if there is enough to put him over the top....

I mentioned in another thread, employee in vegas gun stores mom died in CA in 2012. He moved to vegas after her death. She is registered to vote in Nevada. Guess who won gov in Nevada?
Her husband never notified social security of her death. Thats how they got her name, he thinks.

In NC, when we filed for my mother's death certificate through the funeral home, the county clerk automatically sent a copy to Social Security. SS knew she was deceased before I had a chance to go there and make sure her benefits were stopped (so my dishonest sister couldn't continue receiving her deposits).

Just a bit more detail than the OP story link. This one allows her to take her foot out of her ass just a bit more and stick it in her mouth a bit deeper.

Used to bucking establishment, Gabbard eyes White House run
* * * * *
Note the one photo shows her with "a voter" at a polling place. I wondered who the hell is voting for her.

Here is my comment to the article:
"She explained that serving in the Middle East showed her these positions she once held were rooted in the mistaken idea that it’s the government’s role to “define and enforce our personal morality.”"
I see. So she'll support a roll back and full revocation of the laws prohibiting, say, murder, rape, assault, robbery, and drug use? Those are all examples of the government "defining and enforcing personal morality"... just as much as marriage and abortion are. What a hypocrite! But I suppose the Bhagavad Gita supports abortion and gay marriage, so she's bound by her personal religion.

I heard some discussion (I think on NPR) that was about that Tulsi was born in American Samoa and general discussion was on possible impact on consideration for "natural born citizen". Seems like there have been questions about that for previous candidates like Ted Cruz, John McCain, and others, with general consensus that "it's fine". But I do wonder what will come out if she decides to run and the spotlight is fully on her. I always felt that the stuff about Syria went away quickly and without much attention. Maybe a nothing burger and I didn't read that deep into the issues, but I kind of just felt that it was treated as a "nothing to see here" situation.

The bigger the clown show the better?
If half these people try to out-Left the others one of them will end up declaring themselves an outright Communist (then one of the others will be required to say, "Yeah? Well I was before you were!"). I can't wait.

Tulsi Gabbard says she will run for president in 2020
I called it two years ago. She's not going to win this time, but I think she has a good chance in maybe 10 years.
-
I wonder if she can run for the house and president at the same time. If the Democratic party doesn't select her can she still be on the ballot for the house? If not, then it provides an opportunity for someone else to fill the seat.

Hirono: Gabbard Getting Support from ‘Alt-Right’
HNN: … “Off base.” “All wrong.” And “unfortunate.”
U.S. Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, didn’t mince words Thursday when speaking for the first time about a public rebuke from another member of Hawaii’s congressional delegation — U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard….
In an interview with HNN on Capitol Hill, Hirono said she stands by her questions for Buescher.
She added that Gabbard "has it all wrong and it’s pretty unfortunate. But as I say the alt-right are springing to her defense and if that’s the group that she wants to get the support of, she’s getting it.”
Meanwhile, when asked whether Gabbard’s criticism could affect their relationship, Hirono said she “works well” with Republicans (Gabbard is a Democrat) and if there are times when she can work with Gabbard “I would certainly do so.” (LOL!)
“But I wish that before she goes out there and starts lecturing others about how we do our jobs, you know ... she was very off-base with regard to what she said about my line of questioning," Hirono said.
AND the clown shows starts...
Candidates Already Lining up to Run for Gabbard's Congressional Seat
Within hours of Rep Tulsi Gabbard's presidential campaign announcement, the first hat is thrown into the ring for Hawaii CD2. It's Gabbard's 2018 Republican opponent, Brian Evans, who tweeted that he is switching parties and running for Gabbard's seat:
[You can't make this idiocy up people....]
