This is an interesting map.  Type in your address and see how many shootings occurred near by.  These are reported shootings only, does not include the 3S ones, you know the shoot, shovel, shut up.

Looks like urban areas with a large % of democrats are trouble.

Notice "self defense" is not listed as a criteria for map filtering.

I think the write up could be more informative if the author defined "gun violence" (which of and by itself is problematic as gun are no more violent then butter knives), "accidental shootings",  etc. Do they include/exclude suicides, etc.? Furthermore, being able to search for gang violence shootings, accidental shootings and shootings during the commission of a felony (i.e., robbery) would be helpful.
