Anyone have any experience with the Shield? Have a chance to pick one up for up for $230.00 NIB. Need another pistol like I need a hole in my head but if it’s worth it I might jump on it. LMK and thanks! :shaka:

I like it, but I'd swap my Shield for the Sig 365 with 10-rd std double stack mag in almost the same size frame as the Shield.
I have the original M&P 9 Shield. Check the gun for an "M2.0" mark to verify if it's the new version. When evaluating the gun's market value, version matters.
Here's one of many comparison videos, FYI.

I’ve shot the Shield in both 9 and 40 quite a bit. I really like the Shield. They weight, feel in my hand and how it shoots. Not as snappy as other guns in similar size, even in 40. I haven’t shopped around locally in a while, but that seems like a good price for NIB condition.
Nice video on the 2.0. I would probably get the 2.0 for the grip texture.

Thanks for the info....it’s an original, not the 2.0. Me thinks I’m gonna pull the trigger..... :shaka:

I put a Talon Grip on mine (the rubbery one, not the 20 grit sandpaper). I would likely do the same on a Shield 2.0, since all my polymer handguns have the same Talon grip. I find it easier to switch between them with similar grip textures.

The original shield is my edc. Had it for 4 years, shoots great, zero failures across many types of ammo, did a trigger undercut and stipple job to mine. Makes a big difference imo. $230 is a good price for this firearm.
