Ian and Karl take it out for a test drive. good review, although it had some ejection problems, sounds like gas regulator tuning to me. looks really good. if I had the money...

Let us know how yours run. InrangeTV and Garand Thumb had issues with their samples.

Way too many failures for my taste...

and then there's also the IWI Tavor 7, 7.62x51NATO bullpup, like the Tavor X95. IWI rolled out the Tavor 7 last year (2018).

I was interested in the Key-Tec RFB but I heard it had a number of issues. I did see that their RDB had very positive reviews with a number of unique solutions to the problems faced by bullpens.
-
I haven’t heard anything about the keltec RFB in a long time. Wonder if they managed to fix the issues or improved the design to run more reliably.

Hopefully they will take what they learned from the RDB and update the RFB

Test my MDR today and had several failures to feed and got stuck. Had to bang the butt stock to get it out. Good thing I was not at Koko, someone range officer would get mad. I was using my 168g reloads that works on all my other 308 rifles. Have to test with factory ammo next time. However, it shot pretty good when it works, great trigger and balance. Still waiting the the upgraded gas valve to come in.

I missed it (2/13/19), but Ian and Karl posted another video review of the MDR, apparently Desert Tech got the bugs worked out. looking pretty good this time around. according to them, new gas system, new extractor, new hammer spring.
on Full30, InRange TV: "Desert Tech MDR: Issues Resolved"

Garand Thumb (1/1/2019) has the earlier version. Ian & Karl (2/13/2019) are reviewing the updated version, the earlier version doesn't have the little window on the side of the handguard, just aft of the 4 slanted handguard cooling slots, that lets you see the gas port setting. 12:24 in Ian & Karls video.
I wonder if they're going to provide updated parts replacement for all MDR's sold sofar, free of charge. they ought to. JMHO.
I have neither, and probably never will, but I'm intrigued by the compact design, bullpups in general. sucks to be on the bleeding edge of technology. will have to see.
