This is Senator Karl Rhoads
Senate District 13
Today he heard 4 firearms bills in the Committee on Judiciary, He voted against the people. He passed 3 of the bills and deferred one of them Ignoring more then 1300 pieces of testimony.
WE THE PEOPLE elect legislators to office to represent us, NOT to rule us. Their job is to listen to the people and to represent our wishes not apply there own bias.
Give Senator Karl Rhoads a call AND shoot him an e-mail letting him know that what he did was wrong, Let him know that WE THE PEOPLE are done with rulers being in the people house and let him know when election time comes around his actions will be remembered.
The bills voted on today were SB600, SB621, SB1321, SB1466
If you get a voice mail. Leave a message, Ask for him to call you back to explain WHY he voted the way he did, Why he didn't listen to us THE PEOPLE.

The man’s looks aside, do we have a for/against total per bill? Heaven help me if they actually call back again and I have to stutter on the phone. They’ll know that my air of competence on the issues is just a tissue of whoppers and parroted talking points.

These linked reports are the PSM reports. Not the current JDC ones.
The JDC ones will show more then 335 people opposed each of these bills.

Until those links exist, these are the best available reports to answer Dire's request.
Please post the JDC links for him when they are available .... and quit trolling me. :geekdanc:

Those links are irrelevant to what the phone call would be about. If you don’t have the right answer don’t reply at all.
Quit replying to my threads.

To be fair, it is his thread and he has the responsibility for managing it.

Out of the 4 chairs, Rhoads is the only one I haven't met with to talk about the bills after repeated attempts. I felt like I have to give people a chance before passing judgement but he blew it. The other chairs took the time to explain their position and hear me out.
Anyone here ever had a conversation with him? Anyone live in his district? Kalihi, Palama, Iwilei, Chinatown

We’ll never get him out or change his mind.
You can bet he feels free to rule us 2A’ers with impunity.
Look at his district.
Upper nuuanu, lower nuuanu, Liliha, parts of kakaako.
Democratic stronghold.
Unless we can find and support a moderate democratic candidate, like a Sam Kong or a Mike Gabbard for example, he’s in for life or until he has further political aspirations.
God forbid, Dr. Green for governor and Rhoads as Lt. gov.

Trolling is not managing.
He does this every chance he gets no matter who "owns" the thread.
It's a public forum. Comments are not managed by the person starting them. If that was true, every OP would get mod permissions to delete comments.

Well, I used 1A to defend the 2A. Thanks for giving us a useful direction to route our displeasure. We didn't lose our gun rights in a day and it'll take more than a day to get them back.
High five!

Special interest groups are donating a lot of money to Oahu legislative candidates, and it could mean that they are influencing the election. Grassroot Institute research shows that Oahu’s legislative candidates are getting $837,000 from unions, political action groups, and corporations.
Karl Rhoads and Sylvia Luke received more than $60,000 from special interest groups, followed by Donna Kim who received more than $45,000. The next three highest grossing candidates were Donovan Dela Cruz, Glenn Wakai, and Scott Saiki, who each received between $32,000 – $39,000 in donations from unions, political action groups and corporations.
