Title: Wooden stock repairs
Post by: mosin nagant on March 05, 2019, 12:07:58 PM
I have a Yugo SKS with a cracked stock. I work a lot and don’t have the time or energy to fix it. Anyone know a good wood worker who can repair it? Lmk thanks

If you cant find someone to repair you can still find some SKS stocks online.  Though the ones I'm seeing are chinese

To me the SKS would be like an AK. The more worn it is the better it looks.  But if the crack is affecting safety, then gotta fix/replace.  I've seen a brand new AK with wood furniture and it looked out of place.

If it ain't broke, you're not trying hard enough.

could you post pictures or describe the crack location and give a description of the crack itself? I'd look to a gunsmith first versus a woodworker.
