According to reports I saw (mostly via Timcast), that facility hasn't ever had a suicide before. in this case, normal procedures were ignored several times:
-- Guards were away for maintenance
-- Cellmate was moved to another cell, leaving a possibly suicidal inmate alone in his cell.
-- He was taken off suicide watch one week after the supposed (and still unconfirmed) suicide attempt just 3 weeks ago.
-- The surveillance cameras were off/malfunctioning.
The death occurred magically during the time all of those situations overlapped -- a perfect storm that not only allowed a suicidal man to kill himself (*cough* *cough*), but also in which there was no video recorded to see exactly what happened. And, it happened the day after 2,000 documents in the case were unsealed.
At some point, the number of coincidences are just too numerous to be plausible.

An autopsy was performed. The medical examiner would have to be in on the conspiracy, too.
The larger the conspiracy, the less likely the theory. More people involved = more likelihood someone will talk.

- he was hung with a sheet (didn't have paper sheets which was supposed to be the protocol).
- he was allowed to go unchecked for hours before he was found dead (protocol was to check every 30 minutes).
- Guards were on maximum overtime, so excuses such as "short manned" and "fatigued" are bubbling up.
- in the history of that prison, only one other inmate had successfully committed suicide, even though the #1 cause of death for prison inmates nationally is suicide (about 33% of all inmate deaths). So, if he was going to be safe from killing himself, that specific prison's record says he was safer there than he'd have been in other prisons.
This is the same prison El Chapo was held in. The prison knows how to manage high-profile prisoners. Can't wait for the reports to be made public. Barr said today any co-conspirators to Epstien;s crimes should not be sleeping peacefully. That investigation is far from over.

Famous pathologist Dr. Michael Baden (did tons of forensic shows on TV & HBO) was hired by Epstein's lawyer to observe the NY Medical Examiner's autopsy.
Hopefully he keeps the gov't folks honest and adds another set of eyes to prevent something significant from going unnoticed.

Until there is evidence made public
that there is no way on Earth it could have been anything other than suicide,
and that nobody assisted in the suicide, either directly or indirectly (i.e. facilitating him killing himself)
and that the gross negligence and incompetence exhibited by all those who failed to keep him alive are held accountable,
I'll still reserve the right to call "BULLSHIT!!"
Epstein's lawyers are also not convinced the finding is correct We'll have to see how strongly they question it.
