As you said, Trump is "mean". Therefore any public discussion of him in any way only gives him and his meanness some kind of notoriety and credibility. You truly have no appreciation of someone trying to be objective and navigating through a complex story do you? They either must instantly accept your assessment of the situation otherwise they are stupid and should shut up. See, unlike you I don't have Trumps privates so deep down my throat that I can actually look around at what is being reported and have adult conversations to help me digest what is going on. While you are caressing his balls with your allegiance other people are trying to weigh the facts as they learn about them.

I find it troubling, if not consistent, how the mods here break the rules all the time (one in particular by posting in the classifieds for no reason other than sarcasm and jokes).
There have been plenty of "harsh" comments posted and not removed by mods in the name of "free speech".
Then they lock a thread about the President of the United States, of all topics. No free speech issues there.

Way off topic, but relevant here.
Mods here are SUPER tolerant, at least when compared to other boards I've been on and been admin/MOD on. To each their own. That said, running a board isn't free. It takes start up money and usually money to keep going initially. We don't have paid members here and many boards do to offset the cost. Then there's the spammers to ban, boards that crash and ungrateful old fogies with nothing else to do texting you at 2 am because they can't view a thread with nekkid ladies when they get up at 8 am EST, etc.
I view 2a as a community more than a forum/board. I've met many members and have met the MODs. They are pretty cool guys. Well, except for that irritating tourettes guy. . . :P
But I do see many on this board who say stuff that they PROBABLY wouldn't say to folks in person. I say probably because I dunno for sure. They might say those things in person. Hell, sometimes I think some on here are the same person posting as different screen names just for kicks, are bored, like the attention, whatever. Anyways, yeah, I can be a wiseass or even asshole at times here, but I tend to believe that one day, I'll meet many on this board.
Anyways, carry on. Resume the regularly recorded bickering. . .

I've mentioned before, we are moderators, not site owners. The owner of this site has moved away from Hawaii and, I am guessing, rarely visits the site. We cannot "fix" the problems with picture uploads.
Just be thankful the owner of this site keeps paying the bills to keep it in operation.

In case the moderator is looking at this thread, I am willing to erase my comments to open the thread back up. There were some good lines of discussion going on and I hate to have that be lost. I don't regret standing up to the bully but I will delete my comments for the sake of the community discussion.

I'm just guessing, but I think it was an overreaction by Heavies when I asked the mods to delete EEF's comment that was nothing more than a personal attack with juvenile pornographic language.
A Mod could have PM'ed me about it or just deleted the ad hominem post. Instead -- a thread with over 50 pages of posts was LOCKED!!
For some reason, everyone is supposed to be "civil" on here -- except the HPD troll. He has always been protected for some reason. The rest of us get called out.
If I return an insult, I'm wrong. The other party isn't called out.
If I post an OPINION, it's deemed trolling. Nothing called out re: actual trolling from others.
If I report a comment for their consideration, I'm "whining". So, why even have a link for "Report to Moderator"?

Never mind I have experience with Linux, Windows, Mac OS/X, all flavors of Unix, SMF, Kunena and other forum-style applications, IRC Chat, PHP, scripting, several Content Management Systems (CMS), several database engines like MySQL and MariaDB, application integration, programming, testing and problem solving -- and those are just the skills that are applicable to this site. I have a self-managed Virtual Machine on a paid provider's service that costs me $275/year. If I wanted to have a new forum -- other than the one's I've set up already -- I could, and it only costs my time.
if they explained the problem, maybe someone here has the answer. 2aHawaii is not the only forum ever to exist in the universe that is the Internet. If the problem is one related to site administration, that too can be solved if they only bother to discuss it.
I'm done. They can play their little cliquish games and beat up on me. I'm not going anywhere.

cool experiences. I'm running Linux Mint on my HP Chromebox...kinda slow but better than having a Chrome machine.
