Title: What Did I See On The Rail This Morning?
Post by: Inspector on October 22, 2019, 08:08:34 PM
I was passing under the Rail overpass near H1/H2 around 8:25am today and I saw something I am not sure about. I saw one of the rail trains, but at one end was a yellow vehicle which looked sort of like a tow truck attached to the train. It was not moving and I didn’t have time to grab my phone and snap a photo. Is there someone here familiar with the maintenance vehicles? I really don’t know what this vehicle is nor what it was doing? My first thought was a tow truck. But having a vehicle to lift one end of the train up to tow it doesn’t make sense. Anyone know what I am talking about?

That's what happens -- they spent all OUR money lining their pockets and now can't pay the electric bill.

Yeah, the train was stuck cuz the C&C had not paid their electric bill!

I wonder what is going to happen when the C&C doesn't have the money to pay the electric bill? Is HECO going to cut off the rail?

Point of fact: When the original 2-3 budgets were finalized, they (purposefully?) omitted the cost of ELECTRICITY to run the train -- not a minor cost at all.

Maybe this is a repeat: something so obvious and significant going unnoticed/unreported because they ASSUMED it was being taken care of by someone else?

I can’t find the figure now. So from memory the cost of operating the rail including electricity and personnel including security was $100k,month. I don’t remember if that included or not the offset from ticket sales. Guaranteed they will raise property taxes to pay for it. They probably are too scared to raise the VAT tax any higher nor extend it any further. Tho we all know the added 0.50% added VAT tax will become permanent some day. It is easier to break their promise to raise the property taxes of those nasty rich people who own property on island.

Since H.A.R.T. might not be able to afford the power to run the Hawaiian choo choo, they are turning to China for a scaled down rapid transit alternative.....
