Title: Shotgun Shells on the Big Island

I need to find a source on the Big Island for shotgun ammo.  I especially need 28Ga.  Any info will be appreciated.  Thank you.

28 gauge? Uh... :)

I never looked for it so I've never seen it. Best prices on ammo, and usually a good stock, can be found at Sports Authority in Kona. They usually have a lot of shot shells.

S. Tokunaga in Hilo has a pretty spiffy supply of ammo but, again, I haven't looked at their shot shell supply so I'm not sure what they have. J. Hara in Kurtistown (a bit south of Hilo right on the main drag) also has a good supply of ammo.

The Sports Authority at the Prince Kuhio Mall in Hilo will be opening August 3.

You might want to check with Volcano Reloading Components. Heard they have all kinds of hard to find ammo as well. Hope it helps.

Try calling Kona Reloaders might have some stuff.
