Anyone interested in having a fun shoot and potluck to say goodbye or good riddance to Inspector?
I'm thinking to do a little shootin', then lunch at the grassy field by the picnic table.

Ok, thanks. For those of you who don't know inspector, he is an old timer who has been helping out with shooting sports for years. He built the kokohead website and just recently relinquished it to London/hifico. Inspector will be moving away in few months so now is the time to take a few parting shots.
How about next Sunday at 10am at the silly side?

Let's do a little quick and dirty contest. I have some prizes to give out.
Back in the day we had steel plates and just counted hits.
How about 5 shots at a plate in x number of seconds? Multiple strings with shorter time limits.
Something like that would be easy to score.
Prizes for top revolver and top auto. Maybe more if I can dig around my house.

Please keep us updated as to when this will go down. Inspector has helped me a bunch, taught me more than he realizes and overall has been a good friend although I rarely see him. I would like to shake his hand before he leave to the land of freedom and wish him well.

I'm glad we got to visit her for the past 2 years and even already booked 2020 a trip because she was getting older. I can tell Mrs.CMO was thinking of any regrets. But I told her she shouldn't have any because we go every years since 2017. And prior to that, we were saving for a condo and wedding so we couldn't afford to go.
On a side not IDK if I posted it before, but their armored car guys don't even carry guns. Just body armor and kevlar. Maybe it's not bullet rated, but a stab vest. Not sure why the kevlar, I would rather wear a football helmet. This way you can't get punched in the face.

I'm thinking about a loosely organized steel plate contest at the silhouette side from about 10 to 12.
Then pot luck lunch at the grassy middle field.

Let me correct a misnomer you have. My S&W Model 547 was developed in the late 70's/early 80's, long before they started making Wilson Combat 1911's in 9mm. The Wilson Combat 1911 is a gun that I've wanted for a while, but realistically is still a "one day I'd love to own" gun. But I dunno. Recently, I've splurged and picked up a couple of those things where were formerly on the "nice to have one day" list. I have a RIA 1911 in 9 mm and want to shoot it in a pistol match after I swap out the front sight. But then I'd need more mag. . . it never ends. . .

Nighthawks are nice too! I've actually shot a few as well as a couple of Les Baers. Very nice guns!

My wife and I first moved to the Big Island the end of October, 2008. My hanai brother and his family (they also live on the Big Island) flew to the mainland for Thanksgiving that year. We had no family to spend Thanksgiving with. So our first Thanksgiving in Hawaii was a picnic on the beach. Except for being with family, having Thanksgiving on the beach on the Big Island is the best place in the world. When we arrived, there was a large family of locals having their Thanksgiving on the beach as well. Within a few minutes two HUGE guys came over with some food and green bottles and invited us to join them and their family for Thanksgiving. We knew at that moment that we made the right decision to move to Hawaii. The people here are what makes Hawaii special.

Yeah. That’s my “coffee” cup.
I think it fell off the tailgate/bumper.
Wash it three or four times then boil it and you can probably use it. (At your own risk of course)
