Parallax has been a huge part of my education on scope use.  Spent the vast majority of shooting using open sights, blades and apertures.

First few times using scopes was shocking to me how poorly I shot groups.   Parallax errors was a major part of it..

Airgun shooting at 20-25 yards really exaggerated the effect.
