Vid being deleted by youtube. Showed about 20 riot police on the steps of their station and antifa throwing stuff at them. They do not respond. Guess cause nothing hit any officers.
This is what happens when you follow the mayors orders and stand down for the past 2 years while people are getting attacked and they refuse to help, even when within arms distance.
They pretty much control Portland at this point. Shame on the mayor and all those who "followed orders".

Gotta take the leash of the dogs and let them do their work.

I've been saying that from day 1, but liberal cities have a different train of thought. Protesting OK, but once it turns violent, then it's no longer a peaceful protest.
So this is another example of PD "following orders". There's an old vid of a guy getting his sign taken away and punched about 3 feet from the police. He's begging them to help and they do nothing. No one was arrested or detained at that time.
Ends up 1 woman punching him is a teacher at a school. She was fired and is awaiting her hearing IIRC. She is also on video telling antifa to all dress the same that way PD cannot ID who is doing what.
Only thanks to the internet are charges filed.

Right about the time I left Portland for good a friend had called the police about homeless in a camper in front of his house who was dumping their trash directly in his yard The police said "call the mayor's office because we are not allowed to deal with it"
It was crazy watching the rioters destroy property and vehicles downtown after Hillary lost without any consequences. You idiots, the city voted overwhelmingly for Hillary and you are not punishing your neighbors who voted the same way.
The city leadership will double down on their stupidity until they only rule over a junkyard filled with homeless hippies. I say let them have it.

There are times when riot police have to just sit and hold a line instead of charging out and grabbing someone but that is in certain limited situations.

That would piss me off.... I would throw the trash back into their camper. Maybe padlock their camper door shut as well.

The video shows there was no line to hold. Maybe about 5 antifa harassing and attacking this guy. Them detaining 1 person would not cause a break. Even if it took 3 PD to detain.
There also is no charging out, this happened about arms reach away.
So if they had to hold the line and he was getting beat rodney king style, would they still do nothing?
I can understand if it was like the streets full of hundreds, then yes. But this was no where near that.

I was just making a general comment, I had not see the video of this incident. I don't know how they can stand there and not make arrests given what you described.
