The Senate Judiciary(JDC) committee hearing for the gun control bills will be held sometime between February 21 and 28th and we have a chance to win it even though Rhoads is chair. The hearing will be at 10am and my best guess is February 25th judging by past schedules, but could be any day in that range. We need people to show up at the Capitol. We had over 100 people show up for the rally and 40 people at the last Senate Public Safety (PSM) hearing and we won on some bills, got close votes on others, and got amendments made to reduce the severity of others.
We can't expect the same people to show up everytime and make sacrifices. If you haven't been to the Capitol yet, then it's your turn. Plan and prepare to take a few hours off of work to show up between 9:30am and 12pm. You should have 72 hours notice.
If we can win some votes, it would be an embarrassment for Rhoads and seeing his expression in person would be priceless.

Good turnouts both days and hope that the momentum continues. The day that the House and Senate scheduled hearings/testimony on the same day was the first time that I've been inside the Capitol prob since field trips when I was in HS. Good learning experience on how things go. To prepare for further testimony as well, see how the other side (MDA) approaches things, and at minimum to show support for those actively providing testimony. While I think Zips is being modest on the numbers (I counted higher both days), I do hope that more and more will come out. My schedule is pretty random these days, but I intend on coming out as long as I don't have meetings that conflict that day.
Great job HIFICO for running point and other groups (HDF, HRA, etc) for mobilizing support.

Didn't recognize when not wearing tactical stuff and a hat.

I am checking back here daily. For some reason I do not get HIFICO emails although HDF, and HRA get through.

Not sure if this helps, but it describes all the opportunities to provide testimony for the committee and readings for each active bill, including the 2 hunting related ones at the end.
Best I can explain it since people are getting confused on how many times and which bills they have to testify on. Any suggestions welcome
BTW see here for the confirmed hearing dates in the Senate which require testimony: https://2ahawaii.com/index.php?topic=36049.0
