Title: peacock flats bird hunting club
Post by: kevdev314 on February 20, 2020, 07:13:16 PM
I heard a rumor a little while ago that if you join the north shore bird hunting club, they give you access to peacock flats via the mokuleia access road.

Does anyone know if this is true?? and if so how can i join??

If you have a valid hunting license and bird tag, you can get access on the west side entrance.  The guard shack is the last turn before you get to the beach park.  Just show them your drivers license and permit and check your vehicle in, drive up the long winding road until you get to another gate (opens at 6:30). You can either hunt the field where the bird dog guys go or, keep going until you reach the Nahele trail entrance parking lot( don't use that trail) and walk the forest hunting zone(Peacock flats).

thanks yah i've been up there plenty from the west side but i'm asking about access throught the mokuleia gate.  I know UH has access and keys to this gate but i've also heard that its possible to get access without being involved with UH, or DLNR
