Anyone else stockpiling on magazines?
-
... you have the right to remain silent.
I know that SOME of us here have items that Chief Ballard would love to confiscate.
No need to make it easier for her.

Sigh.... The illusion that you have any anonymity is an illusion. They already have your registration on your ARs, AKs, HKs, SCARs, etc. If it comes to confiscation of magazines they already have you by the balls.
Might as well stand together lest we all hang alone.
I am buying another 10-20 magazines for my various platforms. Anyone else?

If you have friends in the military, they sometimes dispose of wonderfully new items.
For example take these cardboard boxes that my friend was just going to toss.
I said, "Why are they tossing those perfectly good empty boxes?"
He said, "Oh they bought new boxes so they don't need the old boxes any more. You want some?"
I said, "Sure, I can always use some good empty boxes for stashing stuff like spare parts!"

Speaking of stocking up. Saw KMConcepts is out and done on April 1. Hope we're not going to be fools but are you guys going to have a blow out sale to get rid of any inventory? Wink wink, nudge, nudge....

They also auction a lot of good stuff off to the public. You can get a literal ton of stuff for little money if you have the room and motivation to sort through the not-as-good stuff that comes with it. Sometimes you find a single item buried in a pallet that pays for everything you bought.

They're moving locations.

At my old place, there was a corpsman who was tossing old gear in the trash. I opened his kit and had a few epi pens, CAT TQ's, sealed gauze, athletic tape.

I'm pragmatic, and know the odds are forever stacked against us in this state. I'm well stocked with mags that will soon be "pre-ban".

I bought a bunch of mags for various guns ahead of the 2016 election. Didn’t shoot much after that, so still lots of NIB mags from back then. I usually pick up mags here and there for the guns that I shoot often since they do get damaged, wear, etc. That said, I’m always on the lookout for sales in mags. Seems like Brownells has been having some decent sales.

Where do these auctions take place?

Google is our friend!
The organization to look for is DLA Disposition Services, formerly DRMO.
Non-rolling stock: https://www.govplanet.com/dla
Rolling Stock (as in "wheels"): https://www.govplanet.com/Humvees
The bidding takes place online, but you can save shipping costs by clicking to filter for Hawaii auctions in the right side bar. Here's an example in Kapolei:
