Title: MEMORIAL DAY
Post by: Rocky on May 25, 2020, 02:15:50 PM
Surprised this ain't up yet.
To Uncle Norm who smothered a grenade tossed into his platoon and to Grandma Bea   :worship: who passed on this day after all of her sons (7) enlisted and served and both daughters volunteered in Civilian war efforts.
All gave some, some gave all.
Thank You.

Great uncle Harry
New Guinea 1944.
I have his flag.
Never figured out
why his sister, My Grandmother
gave it to me.

My family never lost any family members in any recent wars. Meaning Vietnam and later. My wife had an uncle that was killed in Vietnam. However, I did lose quite a few family members in WWI and WWII both as service members and civilians.

Whether family or not, I honor all service members in all forms of service including civilian services where they risk their lives for the rest of us.

While I was working yesterday, my children went swimming with my Dad.
