Not sure how HPD discovered it or where the ammo was.

That’s what I was thinking.
I gotta say if the 2A community was as coordinated as BLM, and ANTIFA we’d be walking around with full autos by now haha

they usually don't apply the ammo part unless you are also doing something else wrong

I never said protesting was wrong...

I think macsak is referring to this comment... not protesting...

More concerned with the 'firearms' than 'ammo'.

Who did it?
Edit: Not asking if anyone knows them, but more of wondering if the person is in here and what they have to say about it.
Also realized I have some range tips mixed along with my spare change in the cup holders. I need to clean my truck.

I've tried to force myself to put any ammo I find in my pockets on my dresser or in the safe -- anywhere but leaving it in my truck or bag. Once I used a Camelback pack after a range trip to go to another outdoor even. Found 3 rounds in one of the pockets.
It happens.

Stupid Hawaii law.
-
I've had a few rounds make it through the wash. Pretty common to have a few rounds end up in my pocket(s) over the course of a day, as well as in areas of range bag not usually holding ammo. Because of that, I end up triple (and more) checking for ammo when I travel.

Was it the *clank* *clank* *clank* during the spin cycle that gave it away? I’ve done that too.

If there was ever a time to push back against these stupid laws it is the next legislative session. Plenty of evidence on Youtube that undermines every anti-gun argument, and this thing is just getting started.

The *clank* *clank* *clank* was usually in the start of drying :o
I've had many 9 mm rounds go through complete wash and drying. Whooops. Haha

It takes a lot of heat to cause a round to fire. Temperature would have to exceed 400 degrees, which would also cook your laundry!
A clothes drier normally operates in the range of 125 - 135 degrees F within the low/medium/high settings.

I used to have only one backpack, and I switched the contents out anytime i needed to use it. I was at the airport once trying to go through security. I was emptying my bag of all the electronics when a single round of 9mm fell out, and landed between the rollers on the conveyor belt. Must've been from the last time I went to the range. I was able to grab it before anyone saw, besides my wife. Heard it the whole plane ride. Dont remember what I did with it, maybe shoved it in my pocket. But I almost passed out I was so scared...

I meant after being run in the washing machine (water log)
-
I sometimes place the wet brass next to the dryer exhaust after running it in the ultrasonic cleaner, gets it nice and dry
I wonder if you put some brass in a laundry bag and run it through the wash, how clean it would get

Yup. Shot just fine. Was nice and shiny. ;D
