Kimberly Pine + was rep but kicked out in 2016 for being RINO

Mufi = I know from several years of personal experience in my area with mufi he's a loser.
Even though he's supposedly LDS, they'll have nothing to do with him anymore.
Also is the Hotel industry's Biatch
Choon James I've dealt with for years and is as 2 faced as you can get
Rick Blangiardi and Keith Amemiya both have been found/accused of lining their pockets.
I don't think I have to explain hanabusa
Seems this is popular to use of late so...
:stopjack:
For 2a amongst them, try google.

Heard that Bud Stonebraker is pro 2A - can anyone confirm?

We're lucky that the mayors don't make law. But they can appoint people to the police commission that selects who the chief is. Which all chiefs deny ccw permits.
So more important is your district rep. Anti 2a's need to be voted out. But right now anti 2a's control both house and senate.
-
We need more pro-2a people throwing their names in the ballots and running against the antis because they are running unopposed and have no repercussions for their anti-2a votes.
-
Don't know his 2A stance but Bud Stonebrakers civilbeat Q&A gave me some tingles. Im leaning towards him at the very least being Not Anti2a, mentions the Constitution and BIll of Rights I'm going to email him.

Only choice is Stonebraker, IMHO. The rest are NFG
-
Not a very inspiring lineup, but maybe if the has-beens get shellacked hard enough it will make them quit trying for a comeback.

Wow thank you for that link. He’s got my vote I think.

I heard that Kim just visited khsc to campaign.
-
Stonebaker makes the most sense - so he won't win
-
Why does it seem the more I watch Amemiya smile and talk the more it seems I'm looking and listening to David Ige?????

I would be curious as to what she has to say.

"It is the fear-mongering that is keeping our people in a state of panic. Masks are unhealthy. You breath about half a liter of air during normal relaxed breathing. That’s about 2 cups’ worth. This ‘tidal volume’, as it’s called, is decreased when you put even mild resistance on your breathing which a mask creates. Now your brain is getting less oxygen which in turn creates a cyclical state of stress."
100% BS. Saying it like he has no idea how stupid that sounds. Does he forget surgeons wear masks for hours on end and are still smart enough to be a damn surgeon? How about the workers who have to wear full face masks at the job in coal mines or silica mines or working with asbestos who live long healthy lives because of the people who INVENTED THOSE MASKS? Welders? Painters? woodworkers? hazmat workers? dentists? They're all harmed by masks? All those jobs where OHSA makes you take off your mask because of how unhealthy they are? Oh yeah, its zero
I have patients who's oxygen saturation drops to 80% walking 10 ft who can wear a mask. I wear a mask at the clinic all day. Still alive. Still smart enough to know how stupid this idiot is.
Can there be one...single...politician... who is not a freakin idiot! One, just one. Not much to ask

Young guns had a post about her.
Shes concerned of the back and forth to hpd pre corona. She had a TRO on someone and wanted a gun.

served as minority floor leader in the house of representatives...

I was curious so I googled Kim Pine's interview on Hawaii News Now. Watched the video and also re-read the transcript.
Interesting and came across as a credible candidate.
Oh and as a sidenote it didn't look like hanabusa impressed some of the members of the panel.
-
Well at the least she is a lot easier to look at than Hanabusa.

When I lived in Ewa Beach, I voted for Kim Pine. She used to respond to her constituents, not anymore. Ive asked about many issues and fail to get responses, including Kokohead's ridiculous reservation program. I actually got a better response from the Mayor's office.
I like how she handled the time the entire Ewa and Ewa beach community had the power outage during the high winds a few years back, and HECO decided to go on strike, pretty much holding us hostage. That was dirty dirty tactics IMO.
IMO, she's lost touch with the roots.
-

Not anymore.
When I was involved with the republican Party platform I did have some conversations with her.
Granted , in her younger council persons day she did communicate and help her district (Weest side) but as with all or most politicians, the higher up the food chain they go, the more they eat their young.

Bud Stonebraker and Meagan Kau will be getting our votes.

Blangiardi was my boss for many years.
He is a tough but fair and no BS guy. He seems to lean towards conservative values.
It's important to understand that even though he managed the local NBC and CBS affiliates, he can't control the awfully biased national news reporting.
He did have a hand in controlling the local news operation aka, HNN. In general, I think they do a fairly good job of being unbiased.
I would vote for him. At least if I called the mayors office he knows who I am.

What I gather from his view on tourism is to make Hawaii a playground for the elite.
" this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to recalibrate the tourism industry "
"We should aggressively look to price ourselves toward a better clientele that provides for a better experience for visitors"
His funding/budget balance answer is empty. ::)
"consider the option of taxing vacant homes."
" zero-based budgeting" " reprioritization of city funds is not optional"
" instill fiscal responsibility for our city is through common sense decision making and building a management team"
When asked about new project builds, renewable energy facilities, recreational complexes or even affordable housing, he reflected on his support for protecting Sherwood Forest.
On Rail
"don't know enough to plan how to pay for it." (PAIR-A-FRAZED )
Homeless,
same as most others, drug abuse and mental illness, throw more money it (except Stonebraker "Ship'm back where they came from !")

First-time political candidates Keith Amemiya and Rick Blangiardi reported the largest war chests for this year’s Honolulu mayor’s race.
Amemiya has spent more than any other candidate during the first half of the year and the overall campaign cycle.
He is the only candidate to have collected and spent more than $1 million total ($470,000 from outside parties )
Blangiardi collected over $700,000, ($438,000 from outside parties). Blangiardi has spent over $446,000.
It concerns me when the majority of your funding comes from outside sources.
Former Mayor Mufi Hannemann, has amassed over $438,000, the third-highest in collections between January and June.
But, the $455,000 the Hannemann campaign has raised ranks last among the top five candidates.
I guess as president and chief executive officer of the Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association, he screwed them over too ergo the lack of donations
City Councilwoman Kym Pine has collected $756,000.
Pine’s campaign reported just under $331,000 in spending during the reporting period, and over $490,000 for the entire cycle. raised significant amounts,
Colleen Hanabusa collected $278,000 during the first six months. For the cycle, the campaign has collected about $540,000. and has spent $299,085 during the reporting period.
For the entire cycle, she has spent $388,255.
No need to tell you why she has no funding.
It also concerns me when the media (MSN< Star< HNN<USAN<KHON) only mentions these 5 candidates like they are our only choice.

Young Guns posted this on their IG account:
Full text on their post:
Hey Followers,
Martha and I had lunch with Mayoral Candidate Kymberly Pine today. Kym is a FRIEND and CUSTOMER of ours. She is a firearms owner and supports our Second Amendment Rights along with the rest of the Constitution. Kym was born and raised on Oahu. She served in the House of Representatives for four terms as a Republican and later moved on to the Honolulu City Council, a non-partisan position. She is now a Candidate for Mayor, also a non-partisan position (except for maybe Keith Amemiya, who is running as a Democrat). Kym resides in Ewa Beach with her husband, her daughter, two dogs and two cats.
We first met Kym when she came in to our store many years ago. She had a stalker that she filed a Temporary Restraining Order against. Of course it didn't work, so she bought a gun from us. Fortunately, she didn't have to use it. After going through the process of obtaining a firearm here in Honolulu, she realized the frustration of the numerous trips that she had to make, going back and forth to the Main Police Station only (& Gun Store) while fearing for her life. She has since advocated for a more efficient process for law abiding gun owners. She even introduced legislation to support more permitting locations opening up to eliminate the inefficiency.
https://kickeezproducts.com/blogs/blog/hawaii-honolulu-city-council-to-hear-pro-gun-resolution-tomorrow
Kym is a good person and she will fight for our Constitutional Rights. As I have explained to her about the current situation and how long it takes now to obtain a firearm now, she has vowed to speak to the Chief of Police to find a way to speed up the process. I will call the Mayor and ask him to do the same. She understands the frustration of getting a firearm here and knows the anguish of those of you (especially first-timers) having to wait for months upon end, to finally have peace of mind and be able to protect yourselves and your families in this crime ridden city.
Please support our FRIEND and FELLOW PATRON of Young Guns, Kym Pine, in her bid for Mayor and please donate to her campaign if you are able to. (www.votepine.com) Your Constitutional Rights are at stake here!

All fine and well YG, but I sure would like to hear her so say personally and publicly as I can find NOTHING public regarding her views on 2a. ???
And as for "running as a non-partisan", saying you are not running as a democrat when you are a democrat and calling out someone else for it is an ill attempt at deception at best. :grrr:
Honolulu County Republican Party
March 21, 2018 ·
City Councilwoman Kymberly Pine confirmed Monday that she resigned from the Hawaii Republican Party the day after President Donald Trump took office.
The rest of the story...After the 2016 General Election the Hawaii Republican Party State Committee voted unanimously to remove Pine as a member of the Hawaii Republican Party.
This decision was based on her support and campaign donations to candidate Cedric Gates (D) vs. Marcus Paaluhi (R) for HD-44; and to incumbent Matt Lopresti (D) vs. Bryan Jeremiah (R) for HD-41.
Per Section 107 of our Party Rules states "Membership may, upon action by the State Committee, be terminated if the member actively campaigns for any candidate running for election in opposition to any nominee of the Party."
