Title: Sonic cleaning parts
Post by: sa594 on July 18, 2020, 12:10:12 AM
For those of you that use sonic cleaners to clean your firearm parts, was wondering what cleaning solutions you folks prefer. Also if you could share your pros and cons on using a sonic cleaner for cleaning parts....Thanks

Use mine mostly for brass. Occasionally I'll drop a bcg in there or a revolver cylinder
I'll still have to wipe it after but makes the cleaning much easier. Gets most of the grime off but not all
I've used lyman and hornady solutions, work about the same
Others may use simple green or other cleaner degreasers, but I've only used those 2 listed above

Thanks for the info... I bought mine years ago for reloading purposes but stopped and packed it away. Recently found it and thought I'd give it a try for cleaning parts.
