I recently traveled to Oahu, for medical reasons.
as I left the Hilo airport, I bought some beer at the PX.
I have been tested and passed, but I'm not active duty anymore.
Tell me why I should pay attention to your stupid Honolulu
rules.?

Nevermind i watched the caldwell press conference and heard him mention it. Interesting how news doesnt mention it in their list. Most would just assume its lumped in with parks. Even botanical gardens are mentioned.

It makes perfect sense when you think about it. Us outer island guys are coming from a clean environment to a dirty one. So why should we quarantine? Oahu guys are coming from a dirty environment to a clean one so you need to quarantine. Just like dogs going from Hawaii to the mainland and vice versa.

Lol if its dirty, why do you come to oahu at all? It is known and documented that mainlanders have travelled from the mainland to maui and or big isle then jump to oahu.
It was clearly stated that you must quarantine for 14 days unless your travel period is less than that. Then you may leave. So if Mr. Smith flew in from Vegas to hilo. Stays a day or 2. Jumps to oahu. Then what? He just bypassed everything ... just a random example. It should be all islands. Without oahu bringing in lots of supplies to give outer island. Whos gonna help you?
Just think about it. Hawaiian airlines have been doing supply runs for all outer islands. And yes i know for a fact that is true. I more so think its due to less passengers per flight, so they are losing money. Anyways also the dirty oahu nurses and doctors who fly to outer islands to help your hospitals. Funny yea?

( i think ill hate biden more tho 🤣) Im sure as hell him and our governer (even tho i hate all that mag cap ban shit etc.) and everyone else wouldnt want to go down in history as the reason why humanity fails to exist.
The virus is new. We all need to accept and adapt to the change. Theres alot i dont agree bout quarantine and closures but in a way i see from their pov it may help. And tbh it did, back in april/may. Numbers were down. Once it was lifted, more cases rose across the nation. Atleast what i read from articles and saw on the news. If they are lying then shame on them. 🤷♂️ i can only go by statistics that are given to me/ the public.

I don't believe that our local govt officials are creating a safe and reasonable environment for us. A lot of these mandates have no basis. As I mentioned before there are no cases linked to hiking trails, mini golf or bowling alleys. There are cases in Honolulu Hale.
My hypothesis is that they are creating this environment because they are shaping it for the election. They are likely following what others are doing in other states such as NY. They are doing the same things there.

I remember Caldwell mentioning if you're going into the water to swim, surf and fish you're good to go. So he mentioned fishing. Did he mean fishing as in spear fishing/diving? Because I can't see fishing as in shore fishing unless you keep moving. Those who like to dunk their poles are out of luck?

Just practice your own safety protocol. Use common sense.

I just slipped under that one.
I had to accompany my wife to Oahu for Cataract surgery.
Under these rules we would have to quarantine.
She tested negative before the trip, therefore
I'm also by her testing, negative.
We don't socially distance from each other.
( unless she gets pissed off at me)
Ige just about shut down all outer island Kaiser medical
care at Honolulu facilities. Kaiser sends all surgery
to Honolulu, no local stuff.
How many lives does that screw up?
