I used to watch that. I don't remember if it was on before or after Checkers and Pogo.

The Wizard of Oz as in color -- well, after Dorothy opened the cabin door to see a colorful Oz.

That was in 1939, and it was not the first colorized film.

I remember Johnny Quest, but my time was pretty full up and not a lot of time for TV
in those days.

I was in high school, then boot camp. Never watched TV anyhow.

Post by: Inspector on September 22, 2020, 02:34:13 AM: I was seven and I loved the Thunderbirds. They didn’t sell Thunderbird merchandise here so kids were more interested in their toy guns and anything space related back then. Otherwise it might have done a little better as a TV series.
