I know this isn’t a new topic but wanted to confirm if the CAA Roni or similar type is legal in Hawaii? I recently visited X-Ring and saw they had them for sale. When I inquired about it the staff indicated that they were legal in Hawaii. I was under the impression that it was not allowed in Hawaii even with an arm brace. Has something g changed? Again my apologies if repeat post. Thanks.

From what i remember its legal to own cause its an accessory. You could use it for airsoft . Much like a hi cap

As long as you dont shoulder it with a real firearm, should be ok. Thats when it becomes a sbr. Unless you have that glock kit that has that drop in 16 inch barrel.
Not too sure bout using 1 hand on the pistol and 1 on the forearm tho. From all those vids trying to understand ar15 pistol legalities, in the mainland of course, you cannot use a vertical grip. But its ok to use fingerstops and things similar to magpul afg, i think. So i assume it would be ok for the caa roni since it doesnt have a vertical grip. Maybe??

It's sad when you have to go through a dissertation more complicated than The Theory of Relativity to figure out whether something protected by the Constitution is "legal".

I own one for my glock17 but you can shoot it and koko head handgun range unless you fold stock in. You would have to go rifle side and shoot it.

So you can shoulder it without a drop in 16 inch barrel?

I'd shoot mine shouldered at the silhouette side when it was open. When I interperate the HRS, because of the advancements in polymer weight savings, and the ruling on pistol braces, coupled with a G17 it doesn't have 2 or more of the attributes to be considered an "assault pistol." The MCK itself doesn't have to be registered as it is only an accessory.
It's a fun accessory and makes you a better than you are practiced.
