Title: Saddle hunting
Post by: aletheuo137 on November 17, 2020, 06:19:00 PM: Anyone into saddle hunting here. Usually I hunt from the ground but am up to try new things? My 22 lbs tree stand is to heavy to haul in with me.

Sorry. Couldn't resist. I don't see a lot of horse owners on Oahu, nor places that would be suitable to go hunting and riding. Pig trails would break an ankle pretty quickly, I'd imagine.

It's actually saddling from a tree, alot lighter than a tree stand

Oh! Tree saddles!! Gotcha!

Sounds like a better option. Hard to break an ankle, unless your horse falls out of the tree! :geekdanc: :shaka:

Looks like a combination of telephone pole lineman, rock climbing, and rappelling techniques.

I think a window washer's swing would be a whole lot simpler. :rofl: Just kidding. Hunting requires much more gear than washing windows! :geekdanc:

Still testing and figuring it out. I have yet to try it out on a hunt. I'm jumping on it, doing everything to make sure it's safe 12 inches of the ground. The only obstacle is the platform at this point. Ordering a different one.

Actually the sit drag is very comfortable. You can sit for hours. This video was just to explain saddle hunting. I'm building mines on a more affordable route, some diy
