Title: Hanauma bay traffic
Post by: stangzilla on December 05, 2020, 10:34:44 AM
there is a ton of traffic getting into hanauma bay.  at 0900 today it was stopped from the entrance of the bay back down to the traffic light and it wasn't moving
at 0645 it was fine, but 0900 was really bad
better to go around by sandys to get to kokohead bc of the traffic   :shaka:

Saw that story on the news. Our government at work. Even this stupid kanaka could have predicted that.

This island is too crowded.

Even on weekdays when I head to the range that area slows to a crawl.  Usually because there are guards posted with signs turning people away since the bay is already full to capacity.

Thanks for the heads up.  Never thought that on weekends it can get that bad.  Good to know although I doubt I'll ever head that way on weekends.

Wish they would open the silhouette side on weekdays.  I know it is run by private club members so it's understandable why it only opens on weekends.  But still wish there was a way.

a Hanauma Bay reservation app for iOS and Android. Should keep those State IT workers busy and at the CARES Act trough. Or how about a day pass or timeshare?

Charge $50 an hour per person to enter.  Buy how many hours you want.  Go overtime and rates double rounded up.  That way only the rich can go there, you know, like most of the rest of Hawaii.
