It has started;

I'd be willing to request "Countyhood" in the new Texas nation.
I want to get the hell out of Rule by Honolulu.
My county has way more in common with Texas than Oahu.
Cows, pigs, guns, and 4WD trucks.
I'm sure Local Hawaiians are very willing to bail on Democrat run
government.
I am. Free Hawaii and long live the republic of Texas!

Never going to happen....
Texas is the only state that can legally pull it off
Big island is not all that happy with Honolulu.
We can do just fine without you.
We could be a perfect vacation spot for Texans.

It is obvious you need an education regarding how foreign territory can legally be added to the US; as both Hawaii and Texas have similar legal arguments, against the US empire.
US Constitutional law explicitly states that the annexation, of any legally recognized territory that is outside of the US, can only be made via Treaty, between both affected nation states. Both Texas and later Hawaii were annexed via a Congressional joint-resolution, which is in clear violation, of US Constitutional law, as any legislation enacted by Congress only has jurisdiction within the borders of the US.
The fact the illegal annexation of both Texas and Hawaii was allowed to take place, only reaffirms the degenerating of the American Republic to a US empire took place farther back than people realize, as evidenced by imperialists that infiltrated the American government, resulting in the long-term illegal occupations, of both nation states today.

This is January.
Summer is the time for reruns.
You really ought to creates an index of your previous posts that you can copy and paste rather than retyping everything in more than one thread. Would save you hours writing it, and us days reading it.

The other 49 states wouldn't let it happen, nor a decent chunk of texas itself. California tried this too I believe.

Imagine a state the size of TX owing no taxes to the US treasury. They can continue using US dollars, but they have to buy them the way foreign countries do now. A Texas currency would have to have some sort of financial backing, so I don't see that happening immediately.
The state has shipping opportunities on the Gulf coast, and trade with Mexico would increase. In fact, if the rest of the US wants to trade with Mexico, any goods that transit through TX could be levied a fee to help pay for roads.
TX could become a great laboratory for immigration control, as they would have to not only fortify control measures to the south, but also US-TX borders to prevent illegal entry. Visitors would have to go through customs just like any other international travel requires.
I think of it like Canada. TX would be another country on the North American continent. All the same things we and Canada do to allow travel and commerce would be similar.

Not commenting on legality but practicality. Its not practical to happen. It won't happen. Neither hawaii nor texas will leave America by itself. Time to get over the annexation of Hawaii. Its over, you guys lost. Legal or not, that's how it is.

You know taking the long way around to travel to & from Louisiana and other Southern states won't be cost-effective, right? Especially after the cost of fuel skyrockets in the name of "Green Energy". Burning all that fuel to transport goods and people will be counter-productive to saving the planet.
BTW, the oil and natural gas that Biden is shutting down isn't going to affect Climate Change one single tiny bit. We'll just be buying the oil like we used to and paying 2-3 times the current prices.
So much for Biden's Green New Deal policies.

You know if Bidens green new deal works we won't be using as much oil. Replace all federal vehicles with electric, less gas cars in general. No coal/oil plants, replace with wind and solar. ETC. It will save a hell alot more of our planet than staying the course.
Also boats exist.

You're banking the economy -- which is still energy dependent -- on IF Biden's Green New Deal works?
Name a state, or a city, that's using these Green New Deal energy ideas now and doing fine.
Why use the entire nation as a laboratory for unproven schemes? The Green New Deal itself is an economic blueprint for Socialism, NOT fixing Climate Change. We proved this many times in older threads. If everything in the Paris Accord Scam and the Green New Deal were implemented, we'd still be facing the same doom and gloom Climate Change disasters being predicted.
Might as well retrain myself to become a Cat Herder .... It sounds easier than educating Millennials.
Boats (actually ships) exist, but the cost to transport to a port, prepare for shipping, load it, ship it, unload it, and transport to the destination is going to be much more than the cost to simply load it, truck it, and unload it. That cost gets paid by the consumers.

As you know only Texas and Hawaii were nations at one time. Texas a republic and
Hawaii a Monarchy. None of the other states had that status.
Of all the states joining the Union Texas and Hawaii have the best
argument for leaving. Kind of like divorce. I came into this contract
voluntarily and I can leave that way.
I left open the possibility of The big island
breaking free from Democrat Oahu and being a Texas county.
Given the Schiff sandwich Honolulu and mainland Democrats are trying to feed us.
That is not all that crazy.
You ever counted the number of private aircraft
at the Kona airport around Christmas and New years?

Lost in the sense, we are illegally occupied, which Hawaiians like myself will never ever let anyone living in Hawaii forget.
Legal or not, that's how it is.
I am so glad you said that for all to see. :shaka:
America treats its own subjects and occupied nations exactly like an empire, plain and simple: discard of the rights of man and ultrawealthy owns everything. This is important, by-the-way, because the faster you get an empire to unmask itself, the quicker you hasten its demise domestically and internationally.
Enjoy these days, for the imperial party will evaporate much sooner than you think. ;)

Every country including Hawaiians are guilty of being an empire. No land was gained and continued to own without someone else fighting over it. There are losers and winners.

For someone who believes in aiding the Republic of China's (Taiwan), from being reunited with the Peoples Republic of China AND then passionately opposes the de-occupation of Hawaii as well as Texas that is the legal remedy based on US Constitutional law; actually gives the surviving Hawaiian and American Patriots great hope and insight:
1. Those who believe as you, base your positions on anything, but what is logically legal.
2. There can never be any reconciliation among the remaining American patriots that once belonged to the American Republic and those accepting their status, as willing brainwashed subjects, of the now US empire.
3. The days of the US empire are definitely numbered, if its long-term future depends upon such subjects, with the lack of legal logic exhibited.

Taiwan hasn't lost the war. They currently are alone. As a person I pick and choose who to support. It's not bound by some legality. Do you pick and choose which king to support on which island or which sucession route? Or which Hawaiian monarchy you believe in? I just support those who share similar values to me. And Taiwan does more than China. In any war there are two or more sides. You get to choose which one you support. I support America over Texas.

Wrong, the Kuo Ming Tang lost the Chinese Civil War and fled to Taiwan and yet you believe the US empire should intervene. Maybe Hawaiians should ask Russia and China to blockade the US empire from currently occupying Hawaii.

The Hawaiian Kingdom was a constitutional monarchy, which had procedures of how monarchs were elected.
I just support those who share similar values to me. And Taiwan does more than China.
You sure you don't have more in common with China?
I support the US empire over Texas.
Tell the truth, of what you really believe.

Yup I do support the US EMPIRE. I am American, I support my country and those who share similar values or are beneficial to my country/"empire".
I'm sure the original monarchy didn't appear out of thin air. Also I doubt it continued without conflict and war. Someone lost battles. Taiwan lost the civil war, took over an island and make another country. Right now they are independent and lost no current wars after inception.

Don't you feel a load lifted off your shoulders, by coming out of the imperial closet, and letting everyone know what was hidden in there?
I'm sure the original monarchy didn't appear out of thin air.
The internationally recognized Hawaiian Kingdom was born in 1843, after Kamehameha I previously united the three non-internationally recognized island kingdoms, in the Hawaiian Island chain.
Also I doubt it continued without conflict and war. Someone lost battles.
Other than the illegal overthrow in 1893, there were no wars during the Hawaiian Kingdom era.
Taiwan lost the civil war, took over an island and make another country.
Imperial hostile invasions is really an aphrodisiac for you. You seem to get a high when imperialists conduct a hostile take over.
Right now they are independent and lost no current wars after inception.
Wrong, the Republic of China (Taiwan) is not an internationally recognized sovereign nation.

Not really, every country is an empire including the old hawaiian empire as you admit in the sentence below.

Kamehameha the Great was a talented warlord. His descendants not so much. They thought playing dress up with the West would ingratiate them, but all they accomplished was to give wealthy foreigners a beachhead. The Democrats and Republicans are not warlords, just tyrants who depend on others for their power. Without the support of fake news they would have dried up and blown away 4 years ago. Now they are creating instability and inviting insurrection because they think they can control the outcome, but we are entering an age of warlords. Those who will eventually work their way up to royalty will have the necessary skills, bravery, and an organic support network. All the RINOS and DINOS know how to do is take bribes and attack anyone who disagrees with them.

Hawaii was a kingdom, not an empire. Those two types of nations share some similar traits, but have a lot more differences.
By the same token, America should be trembling due to the Canadian empire to the north.
So you admit it didnt magic, appear. Land was taken through war, unless he united everyone without one drop of blood or any animosity?
The wars of unification were bloody. Once the Hawaiian Kingdom was established, there were no wars, during that period.

Wrong, only the US empire and its vassal states acknowledge the Republic of China and only unofficially.

The only mistake Queen Liliuokalani made was blanketly trusting the good faith of the US. President Cleveland, who refused to annex Hawaii right after Liliuokalani was overthrown, was one of the last American patriots serving as US President. His successor, President McKinley was an American imperialist, who was hell bent, in acquiring foreign territory outside of CONUS including Hawaii.

I agree with your premise, but view the situation from an imperial perspective.
Consider this genealogy and timeline:
19th Century to Present - The US has been an oligopolistic-led empire run by the wealthy elite families/corporations.
20th Century to Present - Ultrawealthy have infiltrated not only both political parties, but most domestic NGOs through sex, drugs, and money.
1980s to Present - The US empire's decline begins, due to the ultrawealthy deciding to forsake American labor for cheap labor abroad, which exacerbated traditional social-economic problems and giving rise to new ones concerning gender, identity, environment, etc.
1988 to 2008 - Ultrawealthy decide to have US Presidency rotated among selected stooges (i.e., Bush, Clinton) to consolidate their power.
2008 - Financial crises cause further imperial decline, leading to greater civil displeasure and people's demand for change leading to ultrawealthy's back-up stooge President Obama.
2016 - Civil displeasure continues prompting people's not wanting to return to Bush/Clinton rotating chair US presidencies, leading to ultrawealthy's unsanctioned Trump Presidency.
2020 - Trump overthrown by the ultrawealthy for his failure to follow imperial edicts
2021 - US empire is in rapid decline economically, due to Covid-19; ultrawealthy in panic mode, realizing their hold on power is waning, leading them to begin their war to eradicate their greatest enemy, the remanence of the American Republic's patriots, by declaring them domestic terrorists.

Quite worth contemplating this timeline at greater length and after coffee.

I am personally all for #Texit. If Texas actually does secede, I think I would buy some land and have a home built on it. I would love to have dual citizenship. A lot of my family and I are discussing doing just this whether Texas secedes or not. But if they do I would make sure I have a home there with an eye on actually moving and living there. I believe that it would be for the greater good of the Texas citizens to secede. I applaud the strong conservatives that want to take Texas to the next level and get away from the US Federal Government Dictatorship (And for my buddy Kuleana dare I say, EMPIRE). It will obviously take a lot of planning and many months or years of negotiations. But boy wouldn’t that be a slap in the face?

You and me both only I would refuse dual citizenship. If I buy into Texas seceding I go in 100%. I propose that when Texas secedes they can be replaced by Washsewerton D.C. and the American flag will still have 50 Stars.... :D

I love it! Washsewerton DC.
I think I would want dual citizenship just because I would need the time to buy the property along with my family. And then it would take time to build the homestead between the 3-6 families as proposed. So I would want to live in AZ until everything is ready for me in TX. Then I would make the move permanently. Don’t get me wrong. Texas is not perfect by any means. And AZ is a VERY FREE state still. So being able to move freely between the two countries would be optimal for me until my home and personal range are ready in TX. BTW, we (meaning myself and 2 other family members) are already looking at land in TX. We were thinking WY at first but it looks like TX is more optimal.
-
Dual citizenship has advantages. One is being able to travel between the countries without dealing with immigration and customs as much as non-citizens.
You also have the ability to possess 2 passports, which might come in handy -- presenting a domestic passport can raise fewer questions than a foreign one, even if it is from a former state.
You can also live and work freely in both countries. That's beneficial if your job involves customers outside of the Republic of Texas.
The biggest drawback could involve double taxation, where you owe taxes to both. Countries don't always care that you paid taxes in another country on income. At a minimum, dual citizenship makes these legal issues more complicated.
-

It might be 51 stars, if the Puerto Ricans are fooled to join the latest debt Ponzi pyramid scheme, known as the US empire.
God, I only hope they learn from Texas and Hawaii that all the promises of freedom and democracy are totally untrue and the money they put in, they will get back in financial debt.

I am concerned about my tax situation. I would probably only be a dual citizen for a couple of years I am thinking.
But I would be going into a land sharing deal with family. The issue right now is myself and 2 other family members are okay financially. The problem I’m concerned with is the other 2-3 family members that want in on the land purchase and homestead building are not so good with their money. And they could become more of a liability than an asset.
-
Texas, similar to Hawaii will have a hard time at first getting its finances in order, but will be economically viable in the long-run.
Both Texas and Hawaii share similar geographies that it can turn to revenue:
1. Both have good sea ports
2. Both can serve the role of neutral countries, as does Switzerland, to mediate regional political and trade disputes.
3. Both can take advantage of alternative forms of energy production
4. Both can designate large swaths, of their coastline, as free-trade zones
5. Both can charge passage route (land/sea) fees through its territory
-
I don’t know.
Commiefornia and big tech have already started their invasion of Austin and corporate America has been moving in on Dallas/Fort Worth, relocating Blue troops there.
The Blue might try to consume Texas from the inside out if they can’t secede fast enough.

Houston, Austin and Dallas are deep blue now, and with all of the companies and people fleeing California due to the consequences of their own voting habits, Texas may go completely blue in the next couple of years.

I don’t give a rat’s okole what you care to hear RobDmc.
As for coping, I think you’re the closet snowflake with trouble coping with any opinion other than your own and those who agree with you.
I like reading your posts as your close-minded bigotry never ceases to amaze me.
Must be nice going through life with blinders on.
And Flapp, I thought you’d be smart enough to notice the only member I troll is you. (And now occasionally RobDmc in response to his nonsense.)
And that’s not even all the time. I generally ignore your google regurgitated, know-it-all posts.
However you pointed out to us, through some of your prior posts, that it can be fun to troll a troll.
(I never did troll anyone, meaning you, on this thread though.)
Ironic you post a :stopjack: emoji and then when I reply with an on topic post you immediately reply with a troll post, once again derailing the thread.
Seems you’re the one who can’t resist being a troll.

Still never gonna happen. I'd be willing to legally wager half my net worth that it won't happen.

We'll have to wait and see. Someone said once, never say never. Good words to take to heart.

Must have missed that. Sure if he is willing to turn his in if it doesn't. Bets are not one sided. Must define what kind of bills too. And time frame.

This is technically incorrect. I used to use this same argument until I was educated recently.
There are historical precedents of states being admitted into the union without an official treaty of annexation, the most easily recognized being North Carolina by the federal government with no constitutional dispute.
While an official treaty of annexation between the Republic of Hawaii and the US was never ratified (one was signed by Mckinley in 1897 but failed in Congress), there really is no legal doctrine or requirement that such a treaty is necessary. In fact, Article IV, Section 3, Clause 1 of the US constitution specifically states that
"New States may be admitted by the Congress into this Union; but no new State shall be formed or erected within the Jurisdiction of any other State; nor any State be formed by the Junction of two or more States, or Parts of States, without the Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as well as of the Congress.
Therefore, all that is technically needed for annexation is an official agreement between the governments of a nation desiring to be annexed and the US government, as well as an act of Congress approving said agreement. The Newlands Resolution served this purpose, acting an an official agreement (and therefore defacto treaty) between the Republic of Hawaii and the US (which was also in accordance with the RoH's own constitution and approved of by its government), and it was passed by simple majority in both houses, likely because they saw the benefit of having Hawai'i during the Spanish-American war.
This is why the "no treaty, no annexation" argument is weak at best, because technically the US does not have any additional criteria or legal precedent for a state to join the Union (besides what is covered in Article IV, Section 3, Clause 1 of the US constitution), nor did the US violate it's constitution or the constitutions of the Republics of Hawaii or Texas upon annexation.
The only real way for any state (to include Hawaii and Texas) to secede from the union would be either through successful armed rebellion against the US or through the Supreme Court overturning the ruling of White V. Texas (which states that the US is an indestructible union and cannot be dissolved) and/or Congress amending the constitution and implementing terms of secession for States wanting to separate from the US, as currently none exist.
Note: The most legitimate legal arguments and justifications for previous secessions (and some current efforts) were the ideas conveyed in the Declaration of Independence (...whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government...) and the 10th amendment ("The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people", which in this case would apply to secession, as secession is not mentioned or detailed in the constitution), the ruling of White v. Texas clarified that neither the Declaration nor the 10th Amendment is legal justification for secession by any state.
