Just went to Safeway and saw that they had put up a NO FIREARMS sign on the IN door.
Had a chat with the manager and told him they had just made a victim rich environment.
Also told him that by putting up sign, Safeway is saying that they will be totally Responsible for
Protecting patrons from acts of violence.
Don't think he expected that.
Up to you if you say anything or not.
Friend just told me, unless stated otherwise, technically Law Enforcement can't carry into store?
Squeaky wheel gets noticed.

Babies r us has one too

Apparently they don't allow food in Safeway either. :wtf:

The worst part is it in spanish too. Anyone bought aa gun lately and had to fill out a 4473? It specifically asks if you are spanish. LOL
-
That's funny. Like a criminal is going to see the sign and leave their stolen gun in the Car. I'm pretty sure a LEO can carry a gun where ever they want. The only exception is court and cell blocks.

These signs are in Hawaii at Hawaii stores?

CDC racks firearms death for Hispanics. The rates are second only to African-Americans.

Id have thought the hispanics had taken the lead a few years ago. Legally those signs are worthless, unless state law specifically states that it is illegal to carry where signs are posted. All they can do is ask you to leave, at which point you either leave or get cited for trespassing.

Picture above is a pearl city babies r US.
-
Interesting. I wonder what prompted them to put up the signs or if they had previous encounters
-
Worse thing they can do if you were to be found with a firearm while CCW is ask you to leave. That is, if you were allowed to ccw! So we can worry about this about this time next year.

I no longer feel safe in Safeway.

The CDC numbers are skewed.
They lump Mexicans,
Puerto ricans,
Costa Ricans,
Colombians,
Venezuelans,
Spaniards,
Peruvians,
Cubans,
Ecuadorians,
Bolivians,
Panamians,
Salvadorians,
Argentineans,
Hondurans,
Nicaraguans
Dominicans
And people from Paraguay &
Uraguay &
Chile
Into one little "Hispanic" category.
Basically half of the worlds population.
No wonder they're second place.

Jeeze, what would a "No Breathing" barred circle look like?
-
You werent supposed to take a picture of that sign!!! No photos allowed!!!

Yeah I thought it was weird I had my own box to check. :)

I don't get why race has anything to do with buying a firearm. ???

Pretty sure the signs are made national and standardized. Some gun grabbing graphics artist put it in there according to a company police. Sadly, this stuff is pretty standard at a lot of big stores.

Related to ATF's failed "Fast and Furious"?

yeah, the theater in aurora was a gun-free zone too :(

Oooo, that was low down and dirty! Congrats on your brass.
I'm not signing this one so nobody will know who posted it.

Unfortunately any business can put up a sign such as that and incur no additional liability exposure in terms of protecting patrons.
LEO can carry in posted areas. They are exempt. Visiting and retired LEOs carrying under LEOSA would probably not be able to do so as they are supposed to fall under the same rules and restrictions as "citizens."

Hispanics I believe are the fastest growing demographic in the US.
This is a big issue in construction due to the language barrier a lot of safety talk doesn't get down to the workers.................so in Hawaii you see it although it probably should target Pacific Islanders.
-
How is a criminal going to rob the store using a gun?
I guess he could use a bomb?

L... O..... effing L....!!!!!
That was my laugh for tonight!
Thank you.
