Title: Some longer range shooting...Finally!

A first for me, finally took a couple of my .308s out for a very enjoyable desert shoot. I'm pretty darn impressed that both hit consistently out to 1000m. Thankfully conditions were near perfect, which certainly helped a ton (as did a good range finder & D.O.P.E. app). Still really happy the old standby could hold its own (was shooting 168gr HPBT). Sadly I'm now addicted, going to need another trip to Vegas soon, a move maybe in order as well! ;D

I remember when I brought my new bolt 556 rifle to register and the cop asked me why I didn't buy the rifle in .308.

I smiled and said "Nah.  No need...."

I wanted to say what the fuck for?  On Oahu we can only shoot out to 100 yards.

I think of moving to Vegas all the time now.
