What the best time to be at the pistol range on the weekends so I don't have to wait for a opening? Is it going to be less crowded when UH and pro football starts up?

I've gone to the bullseye range on Saturday anywhere from early to around 12-1 pm and I've never had to wait. It can be busy at random times though if a group of people come down or someone is having a pistol class there. The good thing about going on Sat or Sun, the pistol shooters are spread out between the bulleye range and the silhouette range.

Saturday is always less crowded than Sundays. Don't expect that football will mean that people won't be at Kokohead............it is always crowded on Sundays.

when i did my range portion to for my affidavit it was on a sunday it was super crowded. then i went the saturday after finally acquiring and it was not as crowded but still pretty crowded and had to wait in line, same with the silhouette range but i didn't check for a line.
then i brought the wife out one sunday and to my surprise it wasn't as crowded at all, and neither was the silhouette range.
so i guess you really can't tell just by the day. almost every weekend some brave very helpful soul(s) go early and post up letting everyone know how busy it is and every now and then i'll ask how the pistol side is.
but hell i don't even know why i ask, if i plan to go to the range i'm going even if it's crowded. i'm all the way on the leeward side so if i drive out there i gotta make it worth it.

I found that either Sat or Sun if you get there after 9am but before 10am you run the risk of being put on a somewhat short waiting list. If it is crowded that day and it goes to a waiting list it is usually between 9 and 10. I found if you get there 10 mins before 9am you usually be good. I try and get there at 8:30 but only because I like to pick the area I am shooting at. Get there after 10 or 11am and your good. Unless of course there is a match that day. In which case after 11am is good.

SRGC Membership Chairman
We have reached the 40% limit of our total membership alloted for Associate Members (those with no military or DOD civilian worker affiliation), thus new applications are not being accepted as part of normal business. The Membership Chairman will recalculate the percentages on the day prior to the monthly membership meeting. If there is space for any new Associate Members, those numbers will be announced at the meeting. If there are Associate member openings, they will be offered to any unaffiliated civilians present at that meeting who wish to join. Should there be any openings announced at the meeting and not taken, those openings will be given out on a first-come-first-serve basis to whoever contacts the Membership Chairman by email afterwards. There will NOT be any suspense/tracking files, notification lists, or general public notices regarding any openings that may come up. At the option of the Membership Chairman, openings may be announced on the website if there are a large amount of vacancies, or vacancies that remain open over a period of time. If you are interested in becoming an Associate Member, please email the Membership Chairman to see if there are currently any open slots. Thank you!

^^^SRGC did their yearly recount of membership recently (last month?). Non payment and guys who have vacated their membership led to the % getting recalculated. If you applied before say May/June, I'd email Ted and ask him if you're in or not. Squeaky wheel gets the grease so to speak. Best of luck.

Been to the pistol range on sat/sun and the worst time to go is before 12pm. After 12pm you might have a spot or two open.
